Shaker Farms Country Club

I had a great round. Course conditions so much bet5er than in previous years.. I would go back many times if the course wasn't 2½ hours from my home.

Fun course. Could see the potential but I enjoyed the layout.

The course is in such bad condition. The tee boxes have crabgrass weeds. Nothing smooth to it.

Greens in good condition, a bit slow. Tees in terrible condition. Fairways average. Fun course.

The course has a good layout and is steadily improving the course conditions over the last few years. Greens in good condition, some fairways need improvement. Many years ago the course was private/semi private and the course was lush. Slowly coming back.

Shaker has gone through some tough times, but new ownership and management is bringing this wonderful course back. Great value. Terrific layout, with a very tight back nine. Greens are excellent. You need to play smart positional golf, especially on the back nine. Clubhouse has gotten a makeover and the food is very good. Give it a try, you will not be sorry and you can’t beat the price. I’ve played there several times and have not been disappointed, you won’t either.

Nice old golf course with a good layout that has some fun and challenging holes. Greens are back in in good shape. Main issue at Shaker is the fairways. The front nine unfortunately needs a tremendous amount of time money and effort to repair while the back 9 is coming back and could see that being ok by the end of next spring…So bottom line is if you don’t mind playing less than pristine fairways Shaker farms has nice people there and a good layout and with some great deals on GOLFNOW it’s worth supporting the comeback efforts that are going there .

We had a tee time for 8:30, showed up to the course at 8, just to be early. The course superintendent come out of the club house and tell me he is closing the course for the day because of the possibility of rain, it drizzled for 20 min and stopped. I told him that made a reservation online and asked how I get a refund, his response was "That's something you are going to have to figure out on your own, you didn't book with us, it's not my problem." We ended up going to a different local course and played 18. I will not be playing here.

Course in fair condition with some fairways and tee boxes needing attention. Greens were in good shape.

I played on a Hot Deal. Basically the price of a bucket of balls.

Layout is one of a kind and cool. Greens were very good. Fairways and tees were rough, but I knew that going in.

It was a lot of fun. Played in under 3 walking.

If you’re not concerned about aesthetics and like unique layout, definitely recommended!!

I expected poor conditions due to lack of rainfall and high temps,but the greens were fine.Some tough lies,but thats golf,unless you are playing Augusta.Got a hot deal at $20 for a round with cart at noon.Hard to beat that.Good value.

I haven’t played Shaker in almost a decade but I took a chance and decided to try it as I like playing different courses. The rough wasn’t too long, fairways were pretty decent with some dryness which is to be expected and the greens and fringes were in great shape. I would highly recommend trying Shaker as I felt the condition and the value was well worth it. Additionally, the pro staff member was fantastic.
