Wild Laurel Golf Course

Laurel Valley was a great course and well maintained. After changing to wild laurel I've played it 3 times in the last year and a half and course has been poorly maintained each time I've played. This last time the tees and fairways hadn't been mowed all week and it was Sunday morning. Only a few of the greens had been mowed that day and the cups hadn't been changed in days,the edges of all holes were jagged and rough making hole look smaller. If you plan on playing at wild laurel I would change my plans if I were you. They charge as much as egwani,river islands and centennial but upkeep the course like the old bays mountain golf course. Very disappointed in wild laurel considering for the last year and a half it's been poorly managed. New owners should be ashamed charging what they do for a course that poorly maintained. Wouldn't recommend anyone playing there.

Only 8 par 4 holes, which was a bit different for me. Some interesting holes and plenty of elevation changes. Tee boxes and fairway conditions were good. Greens were average. Nice mountain views on a handful of holes, and not outrageous rates. It was a nice course to play on vacation.

The course is in the best condition it has been. The continued improvements on the course are starting to show significant benefits. The fairways and some of the fringe area that were less than idea are improving. The expenses and labor put into making this a far better course than it was just a few years ago are easily recognized. The greens are near perfect, as good as any in Blount Country. The scenery has always been there and now the golf course is deserving of its surroundings. With the restaurant back in full operation, nothing compares do a round at Wild Laurel. Don’t miss the Smash Burger after your round, it is awesome

We were very pleased with this course. It was challenging and nicely laid out.

Great day for golf in the valley of the Smoky Mountains. Course in great shape. Greens rolling well. A challenging but fair test. 19th hole a great way to finish the round on the deck with a medicinal beverage and a beautiful view of the mountains!

Nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains is this fabulous slice of golf course heaven. Lots of updates since the last time I played and the crew has made remarkable improvements. Greens are awesome, fairways lush and bunkers (yes I was in one today) actually have sand that is not filled with rocks. Great job Laurel Valley and keep up the hard work. The only negative for me is that it was Tuesday and there was no cook for eating after my round. No worries tho, I’ll eat next time. I’ll be returning sooner rather than later. Take care till then.

First time playing this course, an interesting layout with 6 par 3's. It was raining when I started and the course was fairly wet, the rain stopped after the 4th hole and it was good weather the rest of the round. Fun course to play, as the mix of holes, offers great variety Elevation changes will test your iron game. Greens are receptive, with good speed, some have a lot of slopes making two putts very challenging. Wildlife is visible everywhere on the course, as we saw 2 different groups of wild turkeys, along with rabbits, squirrels, and a lot of birds. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will definitely play this one again next time I'm in the area.

Played on a Wednesday, not very crowded, great pace of play. Greens are great, fairways are improving. Young Buck (deer) followed us up #3 fairway very curious.

Great course with great views and a friendly staff

We were in town from the Chicagoland area and wanted to play on a course with beautiful views. This course did not disappoint as the views were incredible! The staff was super friendly and the cost was very reasonable especially since we played on a Sunday and it included a cart. If I lived in the area, I would be playing there all the time!

The staff, clubhouse, carts, and views were all amazing, but the course was under maintenance and in pretty bad shape. The staff let us know they there were in the process of knifing the course, which is good, but this is June in East Tennessee so it's going to be weeks before that course is in good condition again. Just didn't seem like a good time to do heavy maintenance. So for me, while I was there, the value of paying $50 to play in the mud was not there.

Spectacular setting! Views blew me away! Heard turkeys gobbling but didn't see them. So into the setting, score didn't matter. Nice break from busy life. Must stay for snack, meal or drink on the patio. Staff was friendly, very accommodating.
