Beautifully scenic but nonsensically laid out
Whoever laid out this course was a psychopath. Nearly every hole has at least one completely blind shot built in, such that you’ve no idea where your ball has gone even after a good shot. Never have I lost so many balls after hitting it right down the middle - they just vanish because you can’t track them. And if you ever hit even a mildly poor shot here, whoa your ball is gone. Thick forests and tall reed jungles are everywhere.
Loved playing Pierce Lake. Great course in excellent shape.

2nd time playing. Love the course! In great shape and pace has been good both times I’ve played! Wish it was closer to home!
Outstanding Course
Great and we'll maintained course! A good mix of fun holes and challenging ones. Staff was excellent. Looking forward to going back again soon!
Rainy but okay
Was a good day for a duck. Only a few hardy souls on course. Great lay out and interesting holes. Varied types of holes. Greens rolled nicely. One of my favorites in Michigan. A
Terrific Muni
This golf course has something for everybody. You can challenge yourself with length, but all levels of players can find a tee box to suit their game. The greens are large, but quite challenging, depending on pin placement.
Course conditions are excellent. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend this course.
Great course. Very scenic
Haven't played here is a while. Still a great course and very nice lay-out. Some heavily wooded holes, but that is part of the charm. Greening rolled very nicely even in an all day drizzle.
Worth the trip
This is a tough, picturesque, well maintained golf course that would be significantly more expensive if it were closer to metro Detroit. A bargain well worth the drive.
Really friendly staff! Course was in very good shape. Great value, would recommend and play again.
Beautiful course all around from the tee boxes to the greens. I’ll definitely be playing here again!
Great Course!
What a great evening playing this course for the first time. Great conditions and staff. Greens and fairways were almost perfect. Layout is really cool as well with one nine as links type and other trees. Hope to be back!
Fun yet challenging
Let me just start by saying this course has some of the biggest greens I’ve played. Great undulation to them and have little to no pitchmarks. If you’re looking for a challenge with some character, this is your place to be. Always a great time!
