Pierce Lake Golf Course

For being the first week after a somewhat warm winter by Michigan standards, this course was in excellent shape. They had just rolled the greens and they were an 10.5 to an 11. Love it and will be back once a week to play.

We started our round on the front 9 and it was marvellous. We were all set to come back real soon. Then we went to the back 9. No. 10 was a little tighter but still good until the approach shot over the marsh. the reeds were so high you could hardly see the flag let alone the green. and that is how the Tee shots on the next five holes set up. You could not see a fairway off the Tee and you have no idea how far you must hit to carry the swamp. this kept up until the 16th hole.

First half is easy but last half is a little challenging for us. Price is very reasonable . I had a fun time.

Play was very slow with no rangers in sight. Four groups on the tee when we made the turn. Would not recommend to anyone. Round took five hours. Course was in excellent condition.

Had to waite at every hole for people in front of us.

The biggest drawback was the five in a half hour round. Nary a ranger to be seen to keep pace of play moving or communicate with guests.
Very nice course. I enjoyed it.
Would return but not on a weekend.

Extremely slow, 3 hrs 9 holes QUIT AFTER 9 TO SLOW.COURSE CONDITION BETTER THAN AVERAGE.

Tees, fairways, and greens cut nice. Greens a little hard (tough to keep the on). Will go back again. Only suggestion would be to have hole layout at each tee.

MOST EXCELLENT TIME. Course was in great shape. Not crowded. Staff was very friendly. And I enjoyed myself.

Just go enjoy this course if you get it on a Hot Deal! Pristine condition and very enjoyable. Not one negative.

Have played this several times in the last few days. Very enjoyable and we brought friends that also loved it! About an hour from home and well worth the drive!!

Really enjoyed the course. Lay out was very nice, people were friendly and course was in great condition.

I really liked the design and conditions of the course. It is very playable with interesting holes. I was playing as a single and hit a backup of a number of foursomes at the 10th hole. The ranger drove me to the 11th hole to get around the backup and told me to play the 10th when I finished the 18th. The one foursome I reached at the 14th hole let me play through. Also the staff in the club house was friendly.

The greens we just aeriated, but other than the sand and slowness of the greens, you could not tell. The putts ran true and there were no holes that I saw. The one trap I was in was not very good. The sand was thin and heavy with some larger pebbles. Also there was no sand with the cart to fill divot holes on the fairway. But each cart did have a ball and club washer.

Excellent condition and amazing staff!! I would recommend this course to experienced golfers.

Very enjoyable course with some of the best greens for a public course that I have came across. Very enjoyable, I will definitely be returning this season.

A unique public course. Was on Golf Digest's top 50 public course when it first opened. Not the course for the novice or first time player, at least if you want to enjoy the outing and not lose a lot of balls. Front nine somewhat open and rolling. Back nine flat and wooded. Two different personalities. Distance is not critical to score here. Placement and carry is. You should experience the course at least once.

Gorgeous course and in pristine condition. A few challenging holes if playing from the back tees. Select the appropriate tee box and enjoy a wonderful experience.

Great lay-out and very tough.From the back tees there are no easy holes,includeing the par threes.This time of year with the leaves falling it is another challenge.Wonderful course and very friendly staff.We will return,we were disappointed we did not play earlier this season.

The greens were great. It was a cold day, Wide open fairways.

Great course, nice layout. Slow but I usually don't play on weekends. Always enjoy playing here!
