About
Timber Ridge Golf Course was carefully carved from a mature tree nursery that was planted in the 1940s. As a result, the course enjoys more than 60 varieties of trees throughout. The designer, Jerry Matthews, wanted to not only preserve the trees but also work with the existing hills and wetlands so that the course blended seamlessly into the natural environment. The golf course sits atop one of Clinton County's highest elevations, providing a variety of undulations that range from subtle to dramatic. The contours of the landscape determined the placement of the holes and routing of the course. Towering pines and hardwoods frame the holes, giving each one a secluded feel without feeling tight. Timber Ridge Golf Course finishes with a classic and challenging hole that features an undulating, two-tiered green that is fronted by a daunting water hazard.

Just a beautiful course.
First course this year which wouldn't accommodate our request for 1 cart per player (we're mid 70s and being cautious about covid-19). That said, the course was perfect, the greens challenging, pace of play wonderful. Somehow even the the weather was spectacular.
Love this track
This is a great course to meet my buddy half way. I’m in Livonia and he’s in Grand Rapids. We always pick this course when we can. One of my favorites and always in great condition.

Like playing golf up north, just 15 minutes away. Love the speedy greens. No crowds today.
Course Management is Key!!!
The rough was well, ROUGH! Almost always sat down in it so unless you walked on top of the ball you may not find it. Greens were LIGHTNING FAST... Almost to the point of insanity based on how undulated the greens are. Going into the round with those thoughts in mind two of my playing partners shot an 84 & 87, while I shot a 103! I’m a 12 handicap, FYI! Hardest course I’ve played since Torrey Pines South.

Have always loved this golf course! Well maintained, challenging, and wonderful layout. Would recommend to anyone!

The course was beautiful. The layout is great not very long but challenging. The greens are undulating and provide a difficult challenge. I can’t wait to play it again!
