About
Gull Lake View Golf Club, southwest Michigan's oldest and largest golf resort, offers five scenic championship courses that play across Michigan's beautiful lake region. Gull Lake View East is the second of the five courses at the club. Opened in 1973, the golf course has a classic design that has a longstanding reputation of being one of Michigan's finest layouts. Charles Scott, who designed several courses in the area including most of Gull Lake's, designed the course. He carefully incorporated the natural terrain, utilizing the elevation changes and natural water features. Water comes into play on 10 holes and the undulating greens rarely provide a flat lie. Accuracy and careful shot placement are a necessity. Gull Lake is conveniently located within three hours of Detroit, Toledo, and Chicago and it is only about an hour from Grand Rapids and Lansing.

Great course!
The staff was very friendly and helpful in the pro shop. I teed off at 6:54 am, and I think I was the only person on the whole West course. The grounds crew was very kind and let me play through a few times, even getting off of their mowers to put the pin back in before they were done mowing the entire green. There had been a storm before I played so the course was a big soggy, with some standing water in the fairways, but it was still in great condition, with the grounds crew all working very hard.
This course had fun elevation changes
This is a fantastic course with nice rolling hills and some blind tee shots. Had tons of fun with some par 3 challenges. Play was slow because everyone was playing on the weekend. Overall great experience and would go back.
Greens flawless, fairways wonderful
This course which has two 18 hole courses which are totally different in character. Totally professional in management and two of the best tracks in Michigan.

I have been an annual visitor to the Gull Lake courses for many years. You can always count on championship conditions on all of the courses.
I have been an annual visitor to the Gull Lake courses for many years. You can always count on championship conditions on all of the (5) Gull Lake courses. The Gull Lake View East course is 6300 yrds.from the tips but the shorter length does not take away from the appeal of this eighteen. Rolling hills and water hazards on most holes make this a real shot-makers test. I hit every club in my bag and the driver was needed on several holes. I always enjoy playing the East course. You can score well if you choose the right clubs and from the elevated tees (Back Tees) the view and layout of some of these holes is truly spectacular. 12 and 13 from the back tees are a must. Make sure you ask how to get to those teeing areas or you may miss them. The East is the Beast.

Well groomed course
Course was in great shape. Don't have to use the driver on most holes but the course is still challenging. Really enjoyed the course layout and design. Greens and fairways were in great condition. Recommended to any style of golfer

Front 9 was easier than the back 9. Lots of hills and several water hazards.
Gull Lake View East Course - short course that has some sharp teeth
Hilly layout that proves a course can be difficult without being long. A good shot will be rewarded, a slight miss could be trouble at times.

Great course very challenging.
We played Gull Lake View (East Course) last Sunday the weather was a little cool with some sun. I played well, but I can't say that for other golfers. This is great course with some very challenging holes I would recommend this course to someone who likes a challenge.
