Twin Birch Golf Club

I and my extended family were up in the Sheboygan area and went to Tahquamenon Falls, as well as Mackinac Island with my new granddaughter and great grandson and grandson and the rest of the family and the wife and I wanted to play some golf after on the way home. So we played at Gaylord country club. We were going to play at Black Lake but the timing did not work out so anyway we played Gaylord country club and that was in very good shape and we played record time in about two hours and 10 minutes roughly and I looked on GolfNow and sure enough on the way home in Kalkaska. We had already played twin Birch before couple times and the wife liked it and the timing was such that we could buy there and the price was almost a giveaway so here we went and played another 18 holes in about the same amount of time and dirt cheap so 36 holes at Gaylord and twin Birch in one day.

Course conditions were very good to leaves are blown away for the most part very very well they did not aerate the greens yet and fairways were nice and we just cruised through a great time. Nothing against this course at all I’m gonna be honest though I would say Grandview is the better of the two right there in town or up the hill on Grandview a few miles but other than that great time I encourage you to try it.

Brought my brother up north. It was his first time playing here. He was impressed with everything, start to finish, including drinks and your awesome deep fried mushrooms. Perfect day!

Course was in great shape some challenging holes had a great time.

TEE boxes were in rough shape. Lots of bends wouldn’t allow for use of driver on many fairways.

Course was in great condition. Narrow fairways, but beautiful..Average golfer will be challenged, but enjoy the course for the up north vibe.

Great looking restaurant, and a band was setting up outside as we were finishing. Wish we could have stayed.

The course was very well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and so were the people on the course. I brought my 10-year-old son who is just starting to golf. Even though we were a little bit slower, everyone was super nice and helpful and understanding. The course itself, is an amazing shape. The carts are charged and ready to go. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone that is looking for a quiet, peaceful game, but also a challenging course.

Played on 7/11, not paired with anyone. Carts are electric, no coolers, has ball/club washers. Some tee boxes are torn up. Fairways are plush. Sand in the bunkers. Greens rolled nicely. The roughs are rough and you can lose your ball easily. There are a couple of holes where you need to clear thick high brush. Completed the round in 4hrs and did have to wait on a few holes but no big deal. Thinking about playing this course again! The bar inside was nice, staff was nice, and beer was cold!
