I will always play here when I visit Michigan. Photo submitted by Fresch on 06/21/2022

The clubhouse and the practice green. Very beautiful building and the practice green is as good as any on the course. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

12th green. This is a very challenging approach shot on an already long hole bordered by out of bounds on the right. Those three large cavernous bunkers are always a threat. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

The 13th green. What a view of the hole. This is a short risk reward par 4 with a 240 yard carry over the reeds in order to reach the second fairway just short of the green. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

16th green. This is the highest point on the golf course. What a view of the fairway and the willows. Very tough approach shot as it plays 50 feet if not more uphill and it is tough to hold the green even with a wedge. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Michigan golf is finest.
I travel to Michigan once a year or two. I will always make it a point to play the Lapeer country club. Amazing staff, friendly. I absolutely love the fairways here they are beautiful. The greens were the best greens I've ever played on in my life.
Someone screwed up
My 18 hole round was booked for 7:52am. When I made the turn, I ran smack dab into a golf outing. I was unable to complete the 18 hole round that I paid for. I have nothing else to say about the matter.
Sorry to hear you were held up somewhat from an outing. We try our best to accommodate all our customers as best we can. Hope you visit us again soon.
Well with it!!!
Excellent course, tight layout, great conditions ,everybody’s friendly, pace of plays was good both times , we were there ! would definitely recommend
Thank you so much for your great review of Lapeer Country Club. So glad you enjoyed your round and looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Thank you for your excellent review of Lapeer Country Club and hope to see you on the links very soon!
Total confusion
I booked a 7:52am tee on the GolfNow App. I arrived and teed off at my starting time. I breezed thru the front nine and was three over par. When I reached number nine. There were four gentlemen waiting to tee off. FOR THEIR GOLF OUTING. The graciously allowed me to play that hole. When I arrived at number 15 was another foursome . I went to the clubhouse. I asked the cashier about the outing. He stated “They Sprung This On Us.” I told him that if I knew that I would have booked a round elsewhere. He offered to let me play three holes on the front nine again. I unloaded my cart and left. I’m genuinely upset because I was playing my best round of the season.
I am so sorry you chose not to finish your round at our course. We strive to please our golfers however we do know things happen. We hope you do return to see us in the future and continue awesome play!
Missing from GHIN app
My only issue was that this course is not listed on the GHIN scoring app. Couldn’t post my score, but the course itself was great. I’ll be going back.
Thank you for choosing Lapeer Country Club for your round! We appreciate your feedback and will be looking into the GHIN app in the future.
Bad exoerience
After the rain started, the course manager refused to provide a rain check for nine holes. He said I would have to take it up with you. I will not be booking with you again. Also, the fees through you were more than booking with the club, and that way we would have been given a rain check.
Thank you for playing Lapeer Country Club and booking on line with golf now. for their hot deal. Unfortunately, golf now does not issue rain checks unless the course closes. Perhaps you can call us directly at 810-664-2442 to book a tee time. We hope to see you in the future!
Nice course
Nice course, slow pace of play when packed. Greens are well maintained, staff is very friendly.
We appreciate your taking the time to rate Lapeer Country Club five star! Cannot wait to see you again soon!
WORTH. THE. DRIVE.
You cannot beat 20 bucks walking 18 holes on a weekend. You just can't. What a great track this is! The 2018 state finalist Lapeer Lighning play here and they missed out on states this past spring by a stroke. This great team, unsurprisingly, gets to play a great course! I played this course once before this review and it was super wet. No fault on LCC's part, it just rained 2-3 inches the night before. I decided to come back once it got drier, as I was astonished at the value for the money. I know that the rates were late season but peak season weekend with a cart as far as I know is only 40 dollars. For what you're getting, it is quite a deal. The tee boxes are in great shape and they even have divot mix on them. The bunkers are cut very nicely around the edges and the sand is in good condition and filled. The greens are, however, the crown jewel. They are unbelievable. Smooth and LIGHTNING FAST! The course may be public but they sure as heck run like a private club! A great test of your short game as many greens are multi tiered and/or crowned. I really enjoyed the layout. The par threes were either super long or super short. The 4th is only 105 but the 11th is 230! I almost hit driver! The par fours are tight and some have many elevation changes such as 12, 15 and 16, and the par fives are a good chance to right the ship in your round. Only 2 of the 5 exceed 500 yards from the tips. They'll always let you walk even on weekends which I'm a big fan of. The clubhouse is so beautiful and it, the 10th tee, and the 13th green offer unbelievable views of Lake Nepessing. Please give LCC a try! You will not regret it!
