Best of the Metro Parks
Have played this course several times. Front 9 has a lot of character. Course and greens are always in great condition...especially for this time of year.
excelent
This is a metro park and as with other metro parks it is a very nice course, surprisingly tough and in good shape with great greens. Super course
Waste of money
Do not play this course until the air rated greens grow in. They say they have a sign up in the clubhouse and they do, but fail to you the greens are in-puttable!!! These greens usually are in very good condition. We played yesterday (Sept 23rd) and they were so long and big drag-marks with holes and tons of sand- very disappointing. No way should they take money with the conditions right now- at least say something prior!!
Beautifully grommed
Excellent course for the price. Challenging but fair
Consistently good
This course is very playable and dependable. It's always in good shape, friendly staff, and snack shop/bar.
Buyer beware
Great golf experience. However, paid 5 dollar service fee to save a total of 4 dollars. Lost a buck. My own fault but, very misleading.
Where did you book your tee time?
Been Years
Played early and was able to finish in 2.5 hours. Good track with lots of Deep rough. Lost a ball on #1 just of the fairway. Had not played here in years and was pleasantly surprised. Will be back!
Confusion
Course was beautiful and booking through Golf Now excellent, however the course overcharged us when we got there. We paid fees through Golf Now and price on reservation, to be paid at course was $25 per man $100 total, but the course charged my brother $112, which eliminated the Golf Now guaranteed price. This is first time there was confusion between on line pricing and actual at course. We obviously had to pay it in spite of showing reservation e mail to course employee!
Course Tee Box Markers Improvements??????
Whom ever decided to replace the existing Teebox markers that had an over view of the holes and all yardages listed must not be a golfer as this is very annoying and waste a lot of time because the Golfer has to refer to the score card for this info. Not at all a good idea!!!!!!
Good course; slow play.
The greens are in good shape, considering it is early in the season and haven't quite firmed up. My issue with this course is the pace of play. I rarely, if ever see a ranger on this course. Players should be strongly encouraged to play "ready golf". We had the unfortunate experience(not the first time) of getting behind a SLOW foursome who apparently have never heard of ready golf. One player's ball was on the far right side of the fairway; yet he walked all the way over to the far left side to help a fellow payer spend 10+ minutes looking for an errant shot in the heather. Not sure where these people come from, but they need to be reminded of golf etiquette. When I see golf towels hanging from players' belt, almost dragging the ground, as was the case here, I know it's going to be a long day.
Hidden Gem
incredible layout. Front 9 is really hilly. Super fun layout that isn't too challenging.
Great course and greens
The greens had been aerated about a month ago and were back to rolling wonderfully. Being fall and having many leaves falling, this course had very few places where leaves had accumulated, and no putting surface was affected
Nice
Good course. Nice tees, fairways, and greens. Sand traps were bad - pebbles not sand. Glad I only hit into one.
We are sorry to hear your experience was unpleasant while we were preforming our annual course aeration. In order for us to keep our greens in such good condition we aerate our green each fall. We always try to do our best to inform guests of when this will be happening and will continue to find ways to better inform our guests of these types of procedures in the future.
