Been Years
Played early and was able to finish in 2.5 hours. Good track with lots of Deep rough. Lost a ball on #1 just of the fairway. Had not played here in years and was pleasantly surprised. Will be back!
Confusion
Course was beautiful and booking through Golf Now excellent, however the course overcharged us when we got there. We paid fees through Golf Now and price on reservation, to be paid at course was $25 per man $100 total, but the course charged my brother $112, which eliminated the Golf Now guaranteed price. This is first time there was confusion between on line pricing and actual at course. We obviously had to pay it in spite of showing reservation e mail to course employee!
Course Tee Box Markers Improvements??????
Whom ever decided to replace the existing Teebox markers that had an over view of the holes and all yardages listed must not be a golfer as this is very annoying and waste a lot of time because the Golfer has to refer to the score card for this info. Not at all a good idea!!!!!!
Good course; slow play.
The greens are in good shape, considering it is early in the season and haven't quite firmed up. My issue with this course is the pace of play. I rarely, if ever see a ranger on this course. Players should be strongly encouraged to play "ready golf". We had the unfortunate experience(not the first time) of getting behind a SLOW foursome who apparently have never heard of ready golf. One player's ball was on the far right side of the fairway; yet he walked all the way over to the far left side to help a fellow payer spend 10+ minutes looking for an errant shot in the heather. Not sure where these people come from, but they need to be reminded of golf etiquette. When I see golf towels hanging from players' belt, almost dragging the ground, as was the case here, I know it's going to be a long day.
Hidden Gem
incredible layout. Front 9 is really hilly. Super fun layout that isn't too challenging.
Great course and greens
The greens had been aerated about a month ago and were back to rolling wonderfully. Being fall and having many leaves falling, this course had very few places where leaves had accumulated, and no putting surface was affected
Nice
Good course. Nice tees, fairways, and greens. Sand traps were bad - pebbles not sand. Glad I only hit into one.
It's Fall Golf
Very generous fairways, course was very lush, tee boxes and greens recently received their fall aeration... as well as the approaches to the greens. Traps are very large but, for me were not a factor. Overall a nice track, can't beat the G. N. Hotdeal prices.
Huron Meadows Friday in Sept 2016
Twosome playing 18 with cart from the blues,
Playing time: 3:35:00 start to finish.
The fairways and greens are in excellent shape, and the degree of difficulty from the blues depends on your tee shot distance, ball-striking and putting skills on the day that you play.
The pace of play was average slow, but foursomes on the front and back nines allowed us to play thru enabling our under 4-hour round.
Nice course
The course is good fair course, good for low and high handicappers, you'll use every club in your bag.
great metro park
this course is as nice as most high end courses. the greens are perfect shape along with the fairways can be a little slow if you have a late tee time
Great Value
You can not be the price. Course is in great condition , challenging, and great layout..
Huron Clinton metro park
Played from the blue tees. Course is very long but there isn't a lot of trouble but you have to be hitting the ball well to score. Number 9 I hit driver, 3 wood to get close to the par 4 measuring over 460 yards. Course was in great shape and had the course to ourselves on a wednesday afternoon. Staff was very friendly.
A Must Play
The course was in excellent shape and the greens rolled true. I will definitely play this course again.
Fantastic
A true Gem. I'm more upset with myself for not playing this course before. Hats off to the ground crew, the course was in great shape. Very scenic.
