Okay course , alot of trees , hard to find balls in the thick grass
Fun Time!
Have played this course in the past and rather enjoyed it, even though it was usually spring time and damp. This time however the weather was excellent and the course looked fabulous. Great course to play for a bit of a challenge for the money.
PS. Had a pair of unexpected spectators on the 3rd tee in a pair of young red foxes.
Meh
Aside from #1 and #10, all of the holes are tight off of the tee. The 4-pars are either 400 or 300-yards, and the 3-pars are all 200+ yards long.
Women Friendly
Course was in decent shape & is very women friendly. Play was a little slow but there was an outing in front of us so the two guys in our foursome had to wait almost every hole.
Nice Scenery, Grounds Need Better Upkeep
Nice Scenery, Grounds Need Better Upkeep.
Greens were actually really nice. Fairways could be better but overall okay.
If you hit off the fairway good luck finding your ball. The scenery of the woods is nice but still could be cleaned up a bit.
On one hole we played they were cutting the grass the entire time. Ran over a ball of ours and sent I'd flying and chipped.
Nice staff, friendly. Had hot dogs and sandwiches and beer/liquor which was a plus.
Golf here if it's a good deal.
Great Deal
Played with my son-in-law and we both had a great time. No waiting. Relaxing. Perfect weather.
First time
course was very wet in some spots...car paths were in bad shape...going off the cart path due to the water and you would get stuck...greens were in rough shape but not their fault due to rough winter
Holy Hardpan Batman!
You can get a round of golf really cheaper here, but you get what you pay for. There aren't any sprinklers on this course which can be good and bad. The good thing is that your drives will get a serious amount of roll if you catch the fairway (I had two that hit ground running and go over 350) since its so hard, But even if you do keep in the fairway you're almost at a disadvantage since your wedge shots will have too much bounce and you can't even make solid contact since its so dry and hard. Some of the tee boxes were laughable due to their awkward size and slope but maybe in the spring the course would be softer but i will say I did enjoy the very "up-north course" feel on some of the wholes
Rough shape
This course needs major attention on greens, fairways and tee boxes.
Some of the green complexes are beautiful.
This course is being neglected. Some of the green complexes are great. It looks like it was designed by two different designers and some holes look "squeezed in". Dead trees, crab grass, bare spots, and lack of fairways denotes the rest. Course has great potential with just a modicum of care. We played for 17.00 so it was ok, but this course could easily demand more with some upkeep. Too much attention paid to clubhouse.
Great Pace of Play...
We finished in 3 hours.
The greens were very well kept and challenging.
The fairways need some work though.
Not a bad deal for $20.
Beautiful scenery and great staff
This is one of the nicest courses I have played on. The course was very well maintained and all of the staff was very friendly.
Decent
Im a 20 handi shooter and I've been to some nice courses in michigan. I went to cedar glen with my family this past Sunday and I would say its a pretty decent course. The greens are nice, but the fairways definitely needs some work. Good hazards and trees to make the course a little challenging. Pretty flat and I wish it was a little more hilly. All in all has a good experience though. It's definitely a 3.5/5.
Great course. Totally unexpected.
This is in a rural area. I expected a large farm turned into a golf course. Instead - I drove up to a beautiful clubhouse. The staff was super friendly. The course is very well maintained, and the greens are perfect.
Great course
the course was well maintained.Even after all the rain we had the course was in great shape.Would play there anytime
Course was in terrible shape. There were no refreshments being served either on the course or in the club house.
I would never go back regardless of the price. Poorly maintained. Staff was not courteous at all. I can't believe they don't serve food!! You expect someone to golf from 12:20 to 5:00 without eating anything?!?!
flooded but maintained
Course was flooded, but you could tell it was being maintained.
Never go there
The course was all torn up from standing water. Nothing was cut. Cart paths were awful. Not taken care of.
Short and forgetable
This is a short course, even from the tips. It doesn't drain well. After a ten minute rain storm, several greens had standing water and every depression, rut and pothole was filled with water.
This is a good place for beginners and walkers. Saw many of them on a Tuesday mid day. Women and teens must like it.
At a low price, I'd use it as a practice facility.
This course was nice
This course was well maintained and fun to play. There was a backlog at the 7th hole so they let us jump to the 10th hole so we didn't have to wait and then we finished up 7, 8, and 9 after. It worked out great for us.
