Downing is the course I have played most, being it's location is very close to home.

This course is very convenient, almost never have I encountered a day where I couldn't book a tee time short notice.

The rates are very fair, many times you can get a "hot deal" available for this course. That being said, you get what you pay for, so dont expect to show up to a particularly well kept course. For beginner golfers like myself, this course is great and should be taken advantage of by anyone who lives in the area.

This is by no means the easiest course around, you will encounter many trees and heavily wooded areas on both sides of fairways. This course has many holes that force you to make decisions regarding course management. The bunkers are "free drop" due to their lack of quality, there has been signs claiming they are under repair, but have been up all year with no sign of urgency to make them better. Decent amount of water hazards come into play.

Overall, this is a great course if your short on cash and want to play a real course that offers par 4 and 5's rather than going to play a par 3 course. No where near a favorite of mine, but I know I will play here many times before this season ends.

Nice comfy course, not to hard but technical in places, good history in the area, excellent staff in the clubhouse, nice low pressure place.

This isn't Palm Springs, it's a course that needs some work. However, you can't beat the value. Great course for beginning to intermediate golfers.

Downing is my favorite course in the area. With 2 different 9s. The front being tighter and lines with trees vs the back which is more open but hillier. Course is im decent shape. Tees and fairways mowed well. Greens suffer from major pitch marks. But I consider that more of a fault on the golfers than the course. Also some minor green issues but reseeding would fix that. All bunkers are under repair and free drops as they are being replaced and moved.

Overall for the price I can't complain. Easy enough for beginners to not feel overwhelmed while still having tricky shots and slopes greens to keep you honest.

We have golfed this course more than once and are noticing improvements as the season progresses. Sand traps should either be fixed or filled in. The course layout is confusing and could use directional signage (or better signage) to next hole.

This course has a bar and a nice room to sit and eat standard bar food.

We would not hesitate to continue golfing here.

This course was terrible. They had free drop zone signs for bunkers because there was literally no upkeep at all. If you are looking for anything nice at all, you will be disappointed. Do yourself a favor and spend $5 extra and go somewhere else. I can say that the course is a good layout if you are a beginner golfer, as there are not many hazards and it's pretty wide open. But don't expect a challenge.

Not the worst course I've played, but it's kind of a dump and nothing to write home about. Pretty easy to hit most fairways and reach the greens in regulation. Good luck once you're on the green or if you find a "bunker". Really strangely difficult and sloping greens, which could have used a lot of attention. Leaves and debris from surrounding trees on every green. With all that being said, if you're in the mood for a fairly easy or cheap round, and none of your preferred courses have a tee time, this might be a course to think about.

Course conditions were pretty poor. Tee boxes and bunkers were anemic at best. Hole directions need to be updated, got lost a couple of times! I liked the course layout and pretty difficult from the tips in the wind. Staff was very friendly. Golf carts need to have windshields. The kicker was a logo ball was $3

First of all the fees are cheap. With that in mind the course reflected it. Some holes were in good shape others were very poor. Almost all fairways were in great shape but all greens were in poor condition. Many holes had mud and much of the cart paths were poorly maintained. Staff was certainly friendly but a little disorganized. Given the price of the course, many golfers lacked etiquette as well as skills slowing pace way down. Took 5 hrs when added to a group to make 4. But if you are looking for a cheap and simple course to practice on it fits the bill. Just maybe play during the week.

I'm not a great golfer but I love to be out on the course. Some of the tee boxes and greens could use some work, but it's good enough for me. Its a cheap course to get out and hit some balls, and though it's a short course, it's still challenging. Overall, it's a great place to get out and get a game in and not have to pay much.

Slow play behind an outing Threesome throw of the course for tearing up a green. Team in front of us we're slow hitting multiple balls ranger came but. Didn't really do anything. They also kept driving over the tee boxes. But I love this course and the owners are wonderful will certainly come back. Great value

First and last time here.

Round was very slow, due to novices playing several balls and lots of swinging and missing.

Greens were in rough shape, and tee boxes were almost indistinguishable from the surrounding grass.

Highlight may have been the group in front of us driving ON the green--not near it, ON it--to get around a bunker.

I'm not the etiquette police, but that on top of everything else convinced us to cut our round short. Especially when we reached the turn and the group in front (who drove on the green) told us the ranger said the back would be even slower.
