Brae Burn Golf Club
About
Brae Burn Golf Club in Plymouth has a traditional layout with a landscape that ranges from gently rolling to wildly undulating. On most holes, elevated tees play to elevated greens. The large, undulating greens usually slope back to front. Golfers will encounter water on 15 holes and the fairways are lined with mature trees. The bunkering is sparse but strategically placed and there are also rough-enhanced moguls protecting the greens, a unique feature at Brae Burn. One tip if it is your first time on the golf course is to study the course diagram beforehand since there are many hidden ponds that come into play on the fairways and greensides. The course's most famous hole is the par-5 13th, nicknamed "The Monster" since it measures a devilish 666 yards. This tricky hole double doglegs to the left and then back towards the right.

Nice Course
Brae Burn is a nice course with Fair Pricing and it's only a 1/2 hr drive from Home. Course is always in good shape and can usually get Ttime. It does have some Tricky Greens especially the MONSTER!
Great staff. Nice Lon clean course
A rainy finish but Brett at the pro
Shop was very helpful and the beers were cold. Made The trip worth while even from Taylor :-) Nice long course. Open fairways.
Good value
Great value - great pace - course was in excellent shape
Poor greens
This course makes a big deal over its 666 yard par 5. Maybe they should spend time and money fixing their greens. Driving range is short, you can only use your short irons. Staff was friendly
Rain soaked
Because we booked through GolfNow we were required to play in the rain. Despite that though, the course was receptive to shots and the greens were not effected by the rain at all. Best round of my life and great time.
Gimmick-y
Course is cut into the side of a bunch of hills. Too many blind tee and second shots. Not a flat green out there and unnecessary penalties, i.e. gorse coverd mounds right in front of a 200+ yard par 3. “The Monster” is surprisingly playable, but also unnecessarily penalizing.
Right price for the course
This was my first time out this year. The course played well but I think the grass could be groomed better. I was not impressed after I hit my ball in the short grass and couldn't find my ball. Over all the golf course was worth the golf now deal for $22
tee time at 12:07....was trying to beat out the thunderstorms that were to start around 4:30. What the course failed to mention was that they had a ton of high school kids out there for some kind of tournament. First 9 holes took 3 and a half hours!!! finished 13 holes by the time the thunderstorms hit. Had it been just showers would have kept playing. Course couldn't give us any kind of rain check due to use buying the "hot deal." FIRST bad experience at this course though...never had a problem like that before.
course was a bit wet as one would expect in the spring on the lower areas and the grass hasn't fully grown in. Greens were in decent shape and the course played well.
Good condition for spring
Enjoyed open and challenging layout from the black tee. Greens are large and Not flat. Had a good time.
January In michigan
Played at the end of January in Michigan. Can not knock the conditions.
Upgrades
Bunkers could use some restoration. Could use a New Clubhouse. Could use upgrade on Practice putting green. Parking lot could be resurfaced.
Good Experience
Everytime I play Brae Burn, there is something new I learn about my golf, either from the people I play with or just on my own. All have been good experiences and I recommend this course to anyone for a challenge. I challenge anyone to birdie the "Monster" par 5, the largest in Michigan. Have a good round!!!!
