Brentwood Golf Club & Banquet Center
About
Brentwood Golf & Banquet Center in White Lake is conveniently less than an hour from downtown Detroit. The 18-hole layout has two distinctly different designs. The front nine is a wooded trail design with homes lining the fairways while the back nine has a more open, classic Scottish-links layout with fewer trees. There are nearly 40 bunkers situated along the greens and fairways and a variety of marshes, wetlands, and ponds come into play on 13 holes. To make the golf course even more challenging, the strategically placed mounding provides a number of tricky uneven lies from all angles and on nearly every hole. Brentwood's par-5 16th is a particularly memorable hole, featuring a grass hill that is directly in front of the green, almost completely blocking the view of the putting surface on the approach.

Take some pride
Garbage, mostly beer cans, laying all over the course. Tee boxes looked like a mortar field. No beer cart on a very busy Saturday.
This place has some real potential with some basic maintenance and management. Greens were in great condition- by far the best feature of course. Sister course Beacon Hill is in much better shape:
Lovely Enjoyable Course
First time playing here and we absolutely loved the front nine; so woodsy and secluded. You can tell it was phase one of this golf course with the mature trees and landscaping. Definitely challenging for us novices and just beautiful. The back nine seemed to be designed more recently and was definitely more open with spaces and the mature trees few and far between, but having said that, you didn't feel like the holes were wedged too tight. Great cart paths, but the gravel section could use a bit of grading to smooth them out and my only complaint (mild and didn't deter from pace of game) was that the signage could have been a bit better.
Fast greens
The course was in great shape. Very fast and true greens. You don't want to be above the hole because the ball will not stop rolling. The only bad comment is the bathrooms and out houses are disgusting. Do you guys have a janitor? Someone to restock the toilet paper? I know the season is winding down, but you are still open, right?
Way too expensive for what it is
No cart girl. No bar for food or drinks. Course layout is all over the place. And its expensive!
Great course, but need a starter
The pace of play was extremely slow. Quite a few holes we were waiting for 2 groups to tee off in front of us and looked like the whole course was slow. The issue was 2 twosomes in front of us and 2 twosomes behind, and I’m assuming these guys just split up to avoid being in a foursome with other people, but this just slows everything down. 5 hr round.
Decent Course
First time playing here and was not impressed. Course was in 'fair' shape, not good. I walked with a push cart, which I definitely would not recommend. The course layout was not conducive to walking, with some holes being 1/4 mile apart
Fun course
Not a bad course, I’ve lived on the course since 1994, I love finding the free balls in the back yard more than paying $40 a round but it is what it is. Always fun slammin’ cold ones with the boys and getting a bad tan
Beautiful
Course was in very good condition. Only a couple burnt out areas throughout the whole course, and those areas were barely in play. Greens rolled true and were soft enough to park some approach shots. For a Hot Deal, hard to pass up. Fun layout. Finished in 4 hours in a threesome and with a couple groups ahead of us.
Good layout, good condition
The course is near my house and I ply here fairly often. However, I usually play nine, it was nice playing the full 18 today. The course is in good shape and the layout is nice with some challenging holes and some easy ones.
My son bought a dozen balls in the club house, same price i saw at Walmart later that day. Don't see that often.
Nice Course
Went out with my son and played in less than 3 hours. Course was in very good shape and greens ran pretty true. Haven’t played this course in 3-4 years, but was surprised how good the condition was.
