Brentwood Golf Club & Banquet Center
About
Brentwood Golf & Banquet Center in White Lake is conveniently less than an hour from downtown Detroit. The 18-hole layout has two distinctly different designs. The front nine is a wooded trail design with homes lining the fairways while the back nine has a more open, classic Scottish-links layout with fewer trees. There are nearly 40 bunkers situated along the greens and fairways and a variety of marshes, wetlands, and ponds come into play on 13 holes. To make the golf course even more challenging, the strategically placed mounding provides a number of tricky uneven lies from all angles and on nearly every hole. Brentwood's par-5 16th is a particularly memorable hole, featuring a grass hill that is directly in front of the green, almost completely blocking the view of the putting surface on the approach.

Great Course and great pace of play
Always great to play Brentwood, friendly staff, great shape and pace of play during the week is the best !!!!
Greens were nice
Overall the course is well maintained, front is a little tight with houses but the back is extremely open. Makes for nice playing
Nice greens
Some blind shots but overall I enjoyed the course
Didn't get backed up playing course was in good shap
Shot my best round ever here.
The course felt amazing, and the greens were beautiful and slow (but that’s the way I play best). The reason I gave the 4/5 on pace of play was because we had to wait once on the ending of a tournament, and the 4/5 on conditions was because it had just stormed and the course wasn’t drained yet. Overall it was a great experience and I would happily return to play again.
Cart Path Hazards
Very short off senior boxes. Moved back to white tees' to make it more of a challenge.
Course is in very good shape but Cart paths need lots of work. Front and back are 2 different courses., the front much tighter and the back wide open.
Managed to break 80 even with 3 3 putts so easier then I expected.
Not a 4-star course
This course is very strange and definitely not worth a 4-star rating compared to other courses in the same price range
- Tee boxes are really torn up. Many divots, dry spots, and uneven areas
- greens are not consistent and does not roll true. Also not very challenging
- front 9 is very short. Surprising back 9 feels like a real course. If all 18 was lay out like the back 9 then
Frustrating round
First of all the staff is not helpful and gave me a broken range finder to use. There were no yard markers on the course because the grounds crew removed them for some reason. The tee boxes were destroyed. Ball marks on all the greens. Beer cans left at the tee boxes. Worth $20 a round.
