Brentwood Golf Club & Banquet Center
About
Brentwood Golf & Banquet Center in White Lake is conveniently less than an hour from downtown Detroit. The 18-hole layout has two distinctly different designs. The front nine is a wooded trail design with homes lining the fairways while the back nine has a more open, classic Scottish-links layout with fewer trees. There are nearly 40 bunkers situated along the greens and fairways and a variety of marshes, wetlands, and ponds come into play on 13 holes. To make the golf course even more challenging, the strategically placed mounding provides a number of tricky uneven lies from all angles and on nearly every hole. Brentwood's par-5 16th is a particularly memorable hole, featuring a grass hill that is directly in front of the green, almost completely blocking the view of the putting surface on the approach.

Always pleasant
The course is in terrific condition. The front nine is interesting and challenging. The back nine has three holes that are ridiculously long for women and they always kick my behind!!
Still I enjoy playing Brentwood and the pace is usually good.
Great course for affordable price
Both Brentwood and Beacon Hill are courses I continue to play several times each year. The conditions of the course are always well kept and prices are very fair. If you play the back tees this course is pretty difficult but from the whites you can really score. There are a couple quirky holes but for the most part I love this course.
Challenging
The front nine is challenging with narrow fairways placement required, and the back nine is wide open.
The long and short of it - I love Brentwood!
The par 3’s are a bit short; the par 5’s are a tad long but today I parred 3 of the 3’s one of the 4’s and one of the 5’s! A great day on the course!! Always in good condition it’s a fun round!
Terrible Management
Course is in fine condition. Couple tee shots on the course you cant hit tee shots because of over hanging limbs on 5 and 10. But the real problem was the pace of play. We were told we wouldn't catch a group in a scramble going on at the course until 16. We caught a group on 8 tee box. Completely changed our day. Had to quit after 12 holes. Very disappointed in the planning of the pro.
It was hot!
We have the course to ourselves , cuz it was hot . Courses is in great shape. Love looking at all the different style homes as you golf.
Fantastic
Front 9 is pretty tricky. Some doglegs and tough shots. Back 9 is classic links. They’ve always taken very good care of this course, and this time was no different. Fantastic fairways and (not easy) greens. I’m excited to play here more this summer. Finding good deals on golfnow make Brentwood a can’t-miss. I’ve been playing here every so often for 5-6 years, and I just love it. Especially the back 9 when it really opens up, it’s beautiful!
Always enjiyable
I love playing this course! It’s chalkenging but fun! When the pace is quick - as it was for my group- it’s a terrific day!!
Play it
Great layout. Staff very friendly vut they closed the grill at 6 for some reason greens were a little slower than they should have been but rolled nicely.
Good course!
Although it can be busy and a bit slow, I always enjoy Brentwood! Each home has its own personality and the course is in excellent shape.
Enjoyable
Not super challenging (pretty limited on bunkers and water hazards), but a pretty fun course to play. Front nine is harder than the back as it tends to be much more wide open.
Best value ever.
Really nice course at a great price. $24 with cart on a Friday. Keep it straight on the front. There is a little water on the front, but not much else. Fairways were in outstanding shape. It seems like no one fixes ball marks, but otherwise the greens were medium fast and very true. The back is very open, and you can let the big dog hunt. It is the right length for me, so I really liked this course. It is a development course so you do have to cross the street a couple of times to get to your tee box.
Really recommend this course.
