Brentwood Golf Club & Banquet Center
About
Brentwood Golf & Banquet Center in White Lake is conveniently less than an hour from downtown Detroit. The 18-hole layout has two distinctly different designs. The front nine is a wooded trail design with homes lining the fairways while the back nine has a more open, classic Scottish-links layout with fewer trees. There are nearly 40 bunkers situated along the greens and fairways and a variety of marshes, wetlands, and ponds come into play on 13 holes. To make the golf course even more challenging, the strategically placed mounding provides a number of tricky uneven lies from all angles and on nearly every hole. Brentwood's par-5 16th is a particularly memorable hole, featuring a grass hill that is directly in front of the green, almost completely blocking the view of the putting surface on the approach.

Beautiful
Course was in very good condition. Only a couple burnt out areas throughout the whole course, and those areas were barely in play. Greens rolled true and were soft enough to park some approach shots. For a Hot Deal, hard to pass up. Fun layout. Finished in 4 hours in a threesome and with a couple groups ahead of us.
Good layout, good condition
The course is near my house and I ply here fairly often. However, I usually play nine, it was nice playing the full 18 today. The course is in good shape and the layout is nice with some challenging holes and some easy ones.
My son bought a dozen balls in the club house, same price i saw at Walmart later that day. Don't see that often.
Nice Course
Went out with my son and played in less than 3 hours. Course was in very good shape and greens ran pretty true. Haven’t played this course in 3-4 years, but was surprised how good the condition was.
Great course for beginners.
I am new to golf and found this course to be very forgiving. The fairways are wide, and your ball is easy to find if you hit a bad shot. Can’t beat the value of this course, paid 15 bucks for 18 with a cart on a hot deal promotion.
Great course
Great course for the area! Most of the holes are different and some play nice for all ranges since it is very open.
Good value for the money
Play started on the back nine. #10 was a mystery, as the tee marker was missing, and the tee box from the tips appeared to go nowhere? Strangest thing we've seen? Course was in fair to good condition, with some off the greens dying off in spots. Interesting layout. Too short from the gold for the better senior players @ (5,100), and the whites were a bit long @ (6000+). Very playable, and easy to score well. The woman in the clubhouse was not very pleasant to deal with, even though she did get us out early. Pace of play was fantastic. Twosome ahead we saw for one hole, and not again. Our foursome finished in just under 4 hours. All in all a decent course for a golf now price of 35 bucks. If we lived in the area, we might play again, but likely won't make the 90 minute drive back. 3 and half star rating.
Great Course
Wonderful condition - good track although the back is a bit too long for ladies!! Still love this course and the staff are great!
Decent Place
Pro shop, and cart girl were very friendly. Didn't encounter a ranger through the 18 holes and got backed up the last two we played. Tee boxes weren't in good shape, course hadn't drained very well yet when we played so the fairways were soft and there was water in some of the bunkers, but the green's were perfect. Back 9's layout was nice.
Great Course! Staff not very welcoming
Went out with some friends on a beautiful dry day...finally! When I arrived to check in, the staff member behind the pro shop desk was not very welcoming and seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Almost seemed annoyed that he had customers. Fortunately for him, the course was in great shape and we were golfing. Pace was good too. Would’ve given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the less than average customer service.
Weather issues
It was not a good day to play but since we had used our monthly premium reward we decided to try it! The course was flooded in many places - most bunkers were water filled - the wind was howling and the temps in the 50’s! Hopefully we will pick a better day.
Always pleasant
The course is in terrific condition. The front nine is interesting and challenging. The back nine has three holes that are ridiculously long for women and they always kick my behind!!
Still I enjoy playing Brentwood and the pace is usually good.
Great course for affordable price
Both Brentwood and Beacon Hill are courses I continue to play several times each year. The conditions of the course are always well kept and prices are very fair. If you play the back tees this course is pretty difficult but from the whites you can really score. There are a couple quirky holes but for the most part I love this course.
