Brentwood Golf & Banquet Center in White Lake is conveniently less than an hour from downtown Detroit. The 18-hole layout has two distinctly different designs. The front nine is a wooded trail design with homes lining the fairways while the back nine has a more open, classic Scottish-links layout with fewer trees. There are nearly 40 bunkers situated along the greens and fairways and a variety of marshes, wetlands, and ponds come into play on 13 holes. To make the golf course even more challenging, the strategically placed mounding provides a number of tricky uneven lies from all angles and on nearly every hole. Brentwood's par-5 16th is a particularly memorable hole, featuring a grass hill that is directly in front of the green, almost completely blocking the view of the putting surface on the approach.

Save your money
Leave your driver at home, or don’t even waste your money. Front 9 terrible layout. Forced a golf course in between houses and then ran out of room. If you’re familiar with their sister course Beacon Hill, it’s the same exact thing. Back nine much better design, but not enough to make we want to ever play it again. Greens rolled true, but that was the only thing maintained. Very rough around the edges.
More Difficult than I expected
This golf course was more difficult than I expected.
Many traps were hidden.
Course cleannesses was OK.

Brentwood Golf
Course was in great shape. Green were clean. This course is tight and Tree line on Front, Open and longer on back. Not a long course but a perfect place to enjoy with friends.
Very nice track, tough putting
The course surpassed my expectations. Overall, the course has a nice layout and was in very good condition with fast greens that were also in excellent condition. We played the tips, which I never do because I'm not a long hitter, but it didn't hurt my game too much. The front nine demands some accuracy, while the back nine is a little more open while maintaining a similar level of difficulty. These were the toughest greens I've played all season. I'll definitely be back here to get some revenge ;-)
Needs Work
Several issues need fixing at Brentwood! Tee boxes and cart paths are in need of maintenance and repairs. The pace of play was at 5 1/2 hours due to a group of 6 slowing play. Starter nor ranger did nothing to break it up.
First time at Brentwood
Challenging greens. Score should lower as you get to know the course. White tees were very beat up. Will play again.
