Golfer Reviews
Great course and staff
My wife and I try to play the course every Friday
morning- the staff Pro Shop/Grounds crew are always welcoming - Thank you for the excellent service-above and beyond!
The Swilleys
Up North Feel
We had a golf now "hot deal" which after fees was $41/man. I received a phone call from the staff at the course that they forgot they booked an outing at the same time and had to move our tee time. The gentleman that called was extremely helpful in moving our tee time an hour earlier. When we arrived, the front staff was very courtesy and appreciative of our business and I spoke to the gentleman that moved our tee time. He was apologetic and very professional.
The course layout was very open on most holes with trees tucked in nicely on others. The playing conditions that day were very wet from the previous days rain but the fairways, roughs, and greens were well manicured. It was nice to see a ranger and beverage cart roaming the course as well. While we did have a rather loud group behind us, it didn't bother us to much as the ranger did a good job keeping control.
Overall, the feel while driving up to the golf course, walking in the clubhouse, and zooming around the course in the nice golf carts was one of an up north feel just 40 mins northwest of Detroit. The only knock I had was the cart paths weren't paved and very bumpy with pooled water. Highly recommend golf course though.
Rainy Day, Still Fun
Played this course in the early morning after a night of driving rain. Still, the course found a way to be backed up on the first tee. No matter, we started on the back 9 and sailed through the course (cart path only, but what can you expect after that much rain). For the price, the course was great. A bit waterlogged, again not the course’s fault, but still played well. Not challenging either, but still found its way to drive up my score. All in all, with friendly staff and low rates, spend the 6 hours and $20 to play here
Great Greens
Great day golfing at Rolling Meadows. Course was holding a lot of water due to the rain we had lately but early morning tee time on a Monday had us out there almost by ourselves. Track is out in the sticks with no houses on the course at all. Greens are very fun and most are slightly elevated with a lot of break to them. Always liked this course. Back nine is much more challenging. Thanks!
Great Value!
The course was in great shape, greens were punched about 3 weeks prior but rolled true. Some tee boxes were a little bare and wet but we have had a lot of rain recently. Pace was quick, course is friendly yet challenging. Overall great experience for first time playing.
Great place
Great place to play, very nice people and course well kept. My favorite place to play. Even setup for Halloween which is so cool!
Good sand extrapolates to overall good condition
If a course allocates time and money to sand traps it indicates overall commitment to other amenities
