About
Located in Ypsilanti just off I-94 between Detroit Metro Airport and Ann Arbor is Eagle Crest Golf Club, operated by Eastern Michigan University and home to the college golf teams. Eagle Crest opened in 1987 and is a daily-fee course with a Marriott hotel located onsite. The elevated driving range and practice area overlooks Ford Lake and the course layout features several holes that play along its shores. The highlight is the signature par-5 16th hole that features a shallow, peninsula green on the lake. In 2012, EMU embarked on a 20-year master plan to the golf course that will elevate the stature of the course among NCAA host courses. Enhancements include tree management and more views of the lake, rebuilt greens and rerouted cart paths.

Top notch all the way around
Scenic and challenging. Water on several holes over looking Ford Lake. Fairways are beautiful, greens are fast and the rough is tough. Stay in the fairway and you can score. Will definitely play here again.
Wet grass
Wet grasses were everywhere, staff trying to maintain the course while I was playing my round

Pairing up
Every time I’ve made a tee time for 3 here, a single player gets matched up with my group. I’m not paying to play with people I don’t know. I don’t get along with people I don’t know. The worst part was that the single person didn’t pay for a cart while my group has carts. The ranger still put him with my group. When I asked if he could give him a cart he laughed and said he didn’t pay for one. So we were forced to play with someone who’s walking while we ride lol After we started all 3 of us felt obligated to have him ride with us. That’s not what we paid for.

Good track in great shape
Course layout leaves a little to be desired - some goofy holes. But good luck finding a better maintained course for $50.
They've done some great work removing some trees and adding tee boxes. Will definitely be back.

Skipping the line
I've played this course multiple times and really do enjoy it. The starters and rangers keep the pace of play reasonable and enjoyable even on weekends. Unfortunately, someone in management decided to let sneak 4 of their friends in front of us. How do I know this? I was standing right there having been told to wait 5 minutes for even spacing a foursome walked up and informed the starter that they were to go before us. They name-dropped someone from the clubhouse and teed off shortly after. In all, it was a 5 hour round and really aggravating that our money and time are less valuable than the friends of management. I play here because it's usually so well managed on weekends and will re-evaluate coming back anytime soon.

Course was challenging but fair. Greens were fast too! Definitely be coming back.

Cart path only
Don’t try to drive the cart to your car to get your clubs. Be careful driving into restricted areas during your round.
Walk to your ball, leave the cart on the path when possible.
Follow this advice and you will have a good time here.
The practice facility is top notch, looks like a great restaurant, which I will try on my next visit.
The groundskeepers are doing a wonderful job here.
Very challenging track, close to home, I recommend it highly.
