Not a good deal anymore
Used to play this course 2-3 times a week. Last year the cost to play jumped up drastically. Yet the course conditions and quality of the course itself has just become more and more warn out. Not worth to play here if you have to pay more than $25 with cart. You can play a much better kept course for the prices they want here.
Great value
This coarse is great for all golfers. Some of the holes are wide open with a few tight harder holes. Side note if you go on a weekend on a nice day be prepared for a 5 hour round.
Value and all it matters
CreeksBend is not a course about which you would say, "I played a great course" after a around. This is not a strategic course; you know where to put the ball each time. The course is short and many part-4's are what you expect from other par-4's. Stay on fairways -usually wide - and hit the second shots to the greens. I play here because they have good deals. You can always practice on a course, and that is how I look at rounds here. Usually the pace is very slow, so when I play single here, I spend looking at my emails, etc., waiting for the group in front of me to move and clear the way. I have no strong feeling for or against this course. You get what you pay for.
Creeks Bend
The pace was great -played in less than 3 hours.
Several forced carries and several blind shots. Good course overall.
No holes the same
This is a favorite of mine. I love that each hole has its own character. It is mostly open with some elevation changes, but a each hole has locations where you can't go without a cost to your score. Number 12 has a pond in the middle, so do you lay up or go for it? There is a long walk between 13/14 & 17/18, but is a walkable course.
If it is your first time, they did have a cheat sheet on how to play the holes you might ask for. The staff is always friendly and the cart person was around a lot.
Great deal
Payed $20 for 18 holes and cart with hot deals. Can't beat that. Course was fun but the pace of play was awful. A lot of hackers out there.
No rain check for hails after just finished hole 11
Staff were not friendly and accommodating when asked for a rain check due to hail and storm and had just played hole 11.
Great layout
Great course Nice layout Some blind shots but 2nd round would be really good after knowing where to hit
First Time
Fun course. Greens a little slow due to the rain. Needs yardage markers on sprinkler heads. Some blind shots. Otherwise, will go back.
Great early season tuneup
This is one of the first courses to open. Great place to get the winter rust off. plenty of challenges to practice every shot in the bag. the temps were in the low 50's and very windy the day I played but very enjoyable round. Staff was very friendly! Course was in very good spring condition for early April.
Good value
Course was in very good shape except the greens had been recently aerated and were not quite back to normal
Fun course with many blind shots
I played the course on a Tuesday at 3:00 pm. Played as a single and was done in 2 hrs 45 min. The were very slow and you had to hit the ball fairly hard to get it to the hole. The is not water on the course for drinking. You have to make you have plenty in your bag. The course is a little short even from the tips but still challenging. Having a Garmin is helpful.
I am from out of the state but will play here again when come back through here.
Need ranger & green grooming
Greens were not groomed, made putting impossible . Slow players on the fairways and greens needed a ranger to help speed their play.. No water available to drink.
Decent course
The course is in good shape with nice greens. The fairways are well maintained with the rough kept at a good length. The layout could be more challenging. Most holes are straight ahead with minimal bends in them. Having 3 or 4 dogleg holes would help. My only complaint from being out of town and calling ahead was with the club rentals. Bring your own clubs otherwise come prepared to pay $20 (yes $20!) for a mix bag of dirty, sub-standard clubs. The course should be ashamed of itself for charging a fee for a mixed bag of found clubs. None of which matched. Tsk! Tsk!
Good value
Nice mixture of difficult to easy holes. Greens were in excellent shape.
Nice course
I like this course. Many short par 5s give you a chance at birdie (or if you're good an eagle). Rolling meadow fairways with light tree coverage on most of the course lets you hit driver without worrying about losing multiple sleeves of balls. Fun round if my allergies would've cooperated.
challenging and fun
Very hilly, don't try to walk, bring bug spray, and an adventurous spirit.
Well worth our 60 mile drive.
You shouldn't be commenting if you are renting clubs. Not a hot spot for the traveling elite.
