Torch Golf Course at A-Ga-Ming Golf Club

Nice course, however due to the previous night’s rain, it was a bit soggy. That being said, we really enjoyed the round.

We got in on a super deal of $50/18 w/cart. The front nine looked wide open when we started, By hole #7 there were 10 people backed up at the tee box. We hand been waiting minutes between shots. Called clubhouse from #7 old clubhouse and they said we couldn’t skip to back nine and there was nothing more they could do. We asked to have them send a ranger out to speed up play. We quit after 9 as there were two groups on #10 tee. If I would have paid full price at $100/round I would have asked for my money back,

This course is awesome way above my pay grade! Played with a buddy he said it was the nicest course he has played!

Played on 7/27, not paired. Carts were gas, no coolers, ball/club washers, GPS, or rain bonnets. Plenty of ball washers on the course. Beverage cart gal was nice. They have portajohns. Pace of play was under 4hrs. They had multiple divot filler boxes on tee boxes and on the carts. Noticed most divots were filled in. Course was in great condition and a couple of tee boxes have a nice view of Torch Lake. Staff was very nice! Would recommend and choose your tee boxes appropriately.

I’ve played this course a few times before. I thought it needed some improvements and yet this last time I visited there was some significant improvements on the course made it much better for example, many of the trees that were in areas that were obstructive or overgrown they have been removed. Certainly others, of course, including improved grass, cover drainage, etc. also improve the plane conditions. Nice job!

Nice up north layout. Fun. Not a long course but in very nice shape and is challenging. Par 3's make the course. They are pretty long and demand good shots. Definitely would play again. Views from #7 are spectacular.

Relaxing, beautiful views, great food & drinks at cabana, friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were terrific. The golf amenities were great, driving range, putting green, etc. We played the Torch course. Great condition tee to green.

Just a beautiful course, with outstanding views of Torch Lake.

Staff was very relaxed and inviting but yet professional.

Food at the turn grill was out outstanding.

The place is very clean.

Such an enjoyable place to spend a day up north in Michigan!

slow and bumpy greens traps were dirt not mowed very good

Pace of play was so poor, I left after 12 holes! Played on a Saturday and the tee off was delayed50 minutes due to a rain delay. I get that, its going to be a little slow on a Saturday. There were Two groups of four foursomes each playing scrambles! Front nine was over 3 and1/2 hours! Back nine was worse! I quit after 12 th hole and a hour and a half! THERE WERE NO RANGERS on the course moving folks along!! Even the beverage carts were scarce! For the $95 Non Golfnow fee paid for golf, the course provided a disservice!

That said, the course is in good shape and the views spectacular. Im sure it would be nice on a weekday when no one was there!
