Hidden Gem
Totally enjoyed Sun Valley...another great course from Gary Kern. Wooded, some water and great greens!
Great time
My friend and I enjoyed this course quite a bit. It’s in pretty good condition tee to green. With the price I will definitely play here again. Staff is always super friendly
This Place is FANTASTIC!
What a beautiful course. The staff is friendly and the course is fun. The landscape is beautiful and the course is well-maintained and just flat-out fun to play. I love it there. I choose to drive 30+ miles to get there to play as much as I can, even if I have nice courses within 5 miles of my home. Great place.
Beautiful course in great shape
I have played Sun Valley quite a number of times in the past several years, it is well worth the long drive. It is usually in great shape and today was no exception. The course has many elevation changes, many elevated tees. On some tees (#6 and 12) you can see miles of countryside. It's a long and very challenging course, and includes a 720 yard par 6 hole called "The Beast". Many memorable holes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Today I left my phone in the cart. I was a mile from the course by the time I realized it. When I returned the woman knew who I was and what I came back for. Very much appreciated!!!
Way to many Gnats and bugs flying in your face. Couldn't go a second without a swarm of them attacking you. Also the grass was really long. Could be 5 ft from the ball and couldnt see it. All 3 of us that was there had troubles with the grass and gnats.
Booked tee time on line for before 2:30. Course was empty and when we paid was told front nine was closed due to a league starting at 4:00. Staff was very unfriendly. Green were hard as rock even with 2” of rain and were mainly sand with a few blades of grass. Make sure to call course before you book afternoon tee time because leagues are not posted on line.
What a GEM
Really was surprised by this course, had heard good things, but was very impressed once getting out on the course. Didn't get a chance to warm up on the range, but for the day after Christmas the course was in awesome shape. Can't wait to play it during prime conditions. Well Done Sun Valley.
