Sun Valley Golf Course

Our first time to Sun Valley, and we really enjoyed playing the course. The course is well maintained, lots of up and down so walking is not recommended. Holes are pretty close together so don't be surprised when a ball comes flying over your head while putting. Back nine holes have water obstacles but don't let it get to your head - they typically were not in the way. The par 6 was challenging but fun.

Played yesterday for first time and got off the first tee 25 minutes after our tee time. Two foursomes we allowed to slow the play and we were on pace for a 6 hour round. The back 9 picked up some and we were able to get done in a little over 5 hours.

Its a bit of a drive but the course was in great shape. Lots of hills, fun greens, some narrow fairways but overall I liked the course. Just wish it would have played faster.

There was a beverage cart which was a plus too since you don't see many these days. Friendly staff.

More difficult than it looks course. Greens are tough, but not unfair. Good round in the heat. They let us get out before some slower groups behind us. Nice place to be able to play for a decent price on the weekend.

Love this course but the looks like it hasn’t been maintained very well.

This course is narrow and long, you will use all the clubs in your bag. By the way hole 6 is a 710 yard par6, only one around.

The course was wet from the rain the day before and it still played awesome. Fairways are in great shape.

Sun Valley has the potential to be a very nice course. The scenic views are great. The fairways were well kept up. I was not able to book a reservation online and did not even know they were open. I called and they said they had plenty of tee times. When I arrived, the staff said when internet is down, ppl can not book online. That is a huge problem financially for them. The clubhouse is severely outdated. The bunkers look like shallow graves and the tee boxes have a tree limb stuck in the ground with paint to mark tee boxes. This course has a lLOT of elevation and greens with a lot of slope. Some cart paths are gravel and some are non existent Course was in good shape though. If someone sunk some money into this course, I believe it would be a hidden gem

The greens were excellent and very receptive. The fairways had substantial damage the needs to be repaired. The sand traps were also well maintained. The course has beautiful scenic views and is very peaceful. It requires every club in the bag with its blind tee shots. Also, don't expect a beverage cart. Prepare yourself for the heat at the Pro Shop.

Took my grandson and played 18 holes, great staff, great views of rolling hills, love playing this course with a par 6 number 5 hole.

Sun Valley has added zosia fairways to match their PGA quality greens. This course with its picturesque views is a true value and steal to play. The one area that needed some attention were the hard-packed sand traps. Golfers should run to play this super good but getting better course.
