Sugar Creek Golf Course

Love playing this course when I get the chance after work. the fair conditions are good for such a low price. Tee boxes weren’t bad and the greens were ROLLING. Most fairways are pretty good too. Challenging elevation changes and rolling hills will have you having a good time with this one.

If you’re looking for a beautiful course, nice tee boxes, friendly staff and a bar to have drinks, then try out Sugar Creek.

This course has a reputation for being pretty bad. It's in the best shape I've seen it in years and ownership is still trying to improve it. Putting in new drainage is going to help.

it was a holiday weekend so i understand backups from a full tee sheet and novice golfers. this seemed more like poor management though. the biggest surprise was how the course quality did not match reviews. fairways were crabgrass and greens were thin. its a nice layout but the conditions were not good.

I have been playing this course for many years and have always enjoyed the layout and challenge. With the new ownership and staff, the place is only getting better. The greens and in great condition and amenities of the course seem to be improved every time I play. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. We ordered food and drinks last min on the turn and they had everything already waiting for us when we walked in.

This is an excellent course for the money and always gives challenge with terrain and elevation. Would recommend to anyone.

So a friend and I left work early to go play this course, its been a few years since I have played there and I seen a huge improvement on all aspects of this course!! From the staff, the grounds crew, and especially the owner! We had the pleasure of meeting him on a hole. He introduced himself us and was a pleasure. They were doing some mowing and maintenance to the greens to try and beat the rain for tomorrow. We played right through with no problems. The greens look a 100 times better than the last time I played as well as the fairways. I honestly was super impressed!!!! So just wanted to say thank to everyone who is doing their part to make this course enjoyable again. Sincerely Jimmy Homeier.

Idk what all the reviews I’d read about this place being so improved were all about.. It seemed like the same course to me. Fairways were super long, tee boxes were shaggy and really hard, an entire hole was apparently unplayable.. Just not the kind of experience I typically seek out. Looked like there were a couple of projects going on, and maybe it will actually be decent someday, but that is not yet upon us.

This course was an absolute blast to play through. Each hole had beautiful fairways and greens. The cart paths are a bit beat up. Staff were super friendly, talked to the owner for a little after he sunk a great putt, seems he truly cares for the place and is making it better and better ever since he has gotten a hold of the course. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and challenging course.

Sugar Creek is a great place to play for any golfer. The layout is fun and the course is in great shape thanks to the new management.

Good layout, good price. Conditions were fair other than 15 being closed. Overall nice course fir the money.

I used to play this course all the time. Probably 10 years back. It was sold to someone that didn't know what they were doing or didn't care. It turned into a goat pasture. The new owners have pride in what they are selling. great fairways and greens, a couple tee boxes need help but most are in good shape. The sand is OK but could be better and the cart paths need help. Overall this course has a great layout on front and back 9's.

We started with a 15 minute backup on hole 1. Once we got to hole 3 a 4 some of teenagers snuck in from the surrounding neighborhood and were playing extremely slow- taking 5 or 6 practice swings a person. They were pretty terrible to begin with so we ended up waiting quite a while. I called the club house to inform them people had snuck on the course and were playing and not following rules like having a tee time or all players having clubs. They said they would send a Marshall and he never did anything. By hole 9 I almost was hit in the face by a club flying off the t box and into the cart path. It was one of the kids clubs that snuck on in front of us and it was a foot from my head. My boyfriend was obviously upset and said something to the kids. On top of this fiasco, the cart path itself needs A LOT of work. Hole 15 was under construction so all ur left with is a sign that says go down this neighborhood street and we drove for about a mile wondering if we’re going the right way, finally finding the next hole. So many potholes, the drive was extremely uncomfortable. One hole had no signage that it drops straight down and you surely cannot see this from the t box. All in all extremely disappointed with this course. We won’t be back. I highly suggest you find another course.
