Course getting better but a long way to go.

Condition of course vs price does not come close

Great layout but still a long way from being in “good” overall condition

I've played Hillcrest a number of times in recent years, but this was only the second time this year. I'm no longer a Great Life member since they radically changed their plans.

Hillcrest is in much better shape this year. The sand traps are in much better shape with the new white sand, but they aren't raked regularly. Fortunately, they now have rakes in the traps so I was able to rake the trap and move my ball from the foot print depressions they rested in, before hitting out the few times I ended up in traps.

I hit a hole in one on Hole #14, 140 yard 8 iron. Pretty special day.

The staff is friendly, the course is well maintained as well as challenging. Great place to develop your game.

It was a very bad experience. We paid for 18 and left after 9 it was so poor. The course had been reserved for a tournament, as a 4 man scramble, but with cart path only golf, that doesn’t work. 3 hours for 9 holes was awful. I will not be back.

Driving range closed on Sunday because couldn't get the necessary work done during the week. Starter less than cordial. Fairways very dry, greens not bad though. Didn't like the very hilly design. Course was PACKED.

Really fun course that's getting back into great shape. I'd love to see the clubhouse and snack shack get back to their glory days though. But can't complain, great golf at a great price.

Love the course, love the care that is being given to this historic tract. Keep up the good work.

Course was in good conditions. Greens and bunkers were excellent. Pace of play was good but we also played at 11:30 on a very hot day. Layout is very challenging. Narrow tree lined fairways and lot of blind shots.

Hillcrest has been in bad shape for the last few years. But no more. All new traps with white, fluffy sand. Receptive and fast greens. Fairways had just been aerated, and cart paths have been fixed. All good!

Great course but bring golf balls!!! They only have prov 1s in the clubhouse so balls were more expensive than golf

Great to see new ownership and MANAGEMENT a very fine old course.

Glad to see it survived Great Life.

As a former member, I am looking forward to playing it again soon!

expect a small starter bag of balls included in the green fee. This is common and expected. Maybe 15 balls.

The course is difficult with lots of side hill lies, blind shots and overhanging trees. The greens are great. The fairways are penal where even good drives roll off the fairway. Bunkers are in great shape. Unless you are a single digit handicap, this course is not for you.

Hillcrest is back! Enjoyed the morning, super friendly staff and the course was in great shape. Rough is rough which prioritizes accuracy over distance. Probably should post signs asking patrons to fix their ball marks on the greens. As a former golf course employee this is always something I notice. Will absolutely be back and hopefully soon they will have the clubhouse amenities back to 100%.

I've played here for a number of years and this is by far the best shape it's been in. I think Mr Ross would be pleased. Thank you to the new ownership for not letting this Grand Lady go away.
