Hillcrest Golf & Country Club

Always enjoy playing the course but late fall w/ all the leaves down is brutal. They do a decent job blowing them off but you still lose balls & that’s on the fairway. Gone for sure off the fairway.

Played 4 holes and lost 8 balls because so many leaves on course. Most courses at-least blow leaves off of fairway and main rough but Hillcrest did nothing. Normally this is a great course but was disappointed in lack of effort to fix conditions. I did get a free round credited to me through 2022 however which was nice.

There was so many leaves on the ground making it hard for golfers to find there ball and making pace of play slow

It was worth playing once, but for the price, it was a little bit of a let down.

I played a round the second week of November and the weather was perfect. I love the layout of this course. The greens were in great shape for this time of year. The only challenge was the leaves on the ground made it difficult at times to find your ball if you missed the fairway.

Tight fairways with lots of trees. Fun layout with entertaining greens. Pace of play was great! Only downside was the greens were getting sprayed with a blue substance that got all over everything. Probably would have been better to spray on a day the course was closed for maintenance.

I had a great time playing here. The course was beautiful and challenging however they were aerating the greens so everything was a bit sandy. The carts were updated and very nice. Clubs house was a little dated but clean.

Fun round today. Staff was amazing even though they were understaffed. Course was in good condition. Played an extra 9 for $10 so can’t beat that. Pace was slow. Lot of twosomes that didn’t know etiquette. Had to join a single to our group but turned out to be a fun time and at 6 beers for $12 the fun was easy to be had.

All and all a good round and I’d repeat it tomorrow.

Hard to imagine how I could have been more disappointed in this course. All of the fairways and rough were in horrible condition, as though they're not being watered at all. Greens were more sand than grass. Tee boxes had trash cans, but no ball washers or towels. The few water jugs on the course were empty. Neither the tee box signs nor the score cards have any diagrams of holes, so you've no way of knowing what you're hitting into. Moreover, there are ZERO yardage markers on the course...no markers, no sprinkler heads, no stakes, no painted lines on the cart path...nothing. Bring a range finder or you'll have no idea where you are. $15 is too much to charge for this round, let alone the $43 that I paid.

Prepaid and found out only nine holes open when I got there. Pretty bush league by Hillcrest.

Usually love playing here. They weather was perfect for golf , the course not so. They did some aerating on the greens Mon-Tue and they said the machine broke down so they didn’t get the back 9 finished, so unlucky me only got to play the front 9 twice . Got stacked up the second time around and it slowed things down a lot . Tons of sand on all of the greens which made most really hard to play beach golf. Won’t do that again if it happens again but usually love the course . Just an unlucky time to go play.
