Hitting off dirt
We played during an our yearly golf trip. Our goal is to play all 13 courses in the area this was one of our last few left on the golf trail. After this week we only have The Ridge and Osage National left to play. Coarse has a good layout relatively open fareways and some nice holes. They have had some rain this spring and coarse is a little hilly so some of the grass could have been washed away but be prepared to hit off the dirt frequently and even rocky soil. We played nicer courses in the area this week for the money. We also got held up by a group of 7 with 5 playing there own ball. Early in the year courses have let us play with 5 which I appreciate but we play best ball and stay out of everyone’s way. A group of 2 was hitting into the group behind us with no place for us to go.
It was okay and had good bones. But, and perhaps it was early season, it needs conditioning from tees to greens to paths. Just looked tired and old and a but unkempt I would play again to see how it is in season. A lot of the surrounding houses also looked dated and hurt the overall view of the course
Fun challenging course
We played in a foursome in the fall and moved along without having to wait. The course was in good shape considering we were in a near 2 month drought. The roving terrain presents a challenge on several shots. The greens were in good condition considering they had recently been plugged.
Course in great shape, nice and challenging
Staff in pro shop are not nice they are rude but club workers ,restaurant very pleasant and nice
Greeting attendant, cart attendants very cordial .
Pro shop not accommodating for golfers golfed the Ridge in July with 12 golfers and golfed the cove twice this week with 12 golfers in our group.
Everyone in our group would rather golf somewhere that appreciates our business
Good course experience
Greens had recently been aerated but greens were still pretty fast and receptive. It’s a fun and challenging track and you couldn’t beat it for the money. The fact that we got around in under 3 1/2 hours and it was 72 degrees and sunny made it even better. Staff has always been super friendly and accommodating.
I hate to give away the Lakes best kept secret but....
Absolutely, without a doubt, the best place to play at the Lake.....the course is always in great shape, the staff is amazing, and the price is right. I hate to give away my favortie place to go when I'm down there every year in October, but I can't help but to give The Cove a 5 star review.
