Bear Creek Golf Club

I had a tee time for this afternoon. I did not get to tee off until almost 30 min after my tee time because of groups in front of me waiting to tee off. Every hole had at least a 15 min delay for teeing off. It took my group (4 some) almost an hour and 20 min to get through 3 holes. Then I had enough time to drive back to the club house, grab something out of my car and get back in time to still wait 5 min before i was able to tee off. It took us 5 hours to play 11 holes and then my group just quit because there was a line of 3 people waiting to tee off at 12.

A group 2 in front of us had elementary school children, playing from the white tees with their parents and playing their own shots. I mentioned it to the guy in the pro shop and how 5 hours for 11 is ridiculous, his response was “well it’s a Sunday and cart path only so that’s what you should expect.”

This is the second time I have played this course and I have never been able to finish my round of 18. They last time I played I waited 45 minutes to tee off at the 4th hold. Spending $50+ for 18 holes I expected to be able to actually play 18 holes. I will not be back and I will let everyone I know how awful the pace of play is.

Worst scheduling I’ve ever seen. Had a tournament going on during regular tee times. It back the course up and had about four groups in front of me. Took nearly 4 hours to get the front done. On top of that got paired with someone just screaming and throwing slurs out left and right and yes i know that guy isn’t the courses fault for his actions but that’s why i hate when courses make you play with random people. They also have the range along side a hole. Nearly got hit 4 times while waiting for our turn on the tee box. One ball came about two feet from me never seen such a terrible design for a course. Pretty terrible experience.

The course is in good shape, fairways are low greens are very fast. If there's on complaint the sand traps are chunking to rough. Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to play there again tomorrow.

Hard an excellent outing at Bear Creek today! Course in in Very Good to Excellent condition. Greens were very fast.

Bear Creek offers a great variety of holes, large greens, and a friendly clubhouse atmosphere. I was greeted with a smile and conversation at check in and was welcomed to the course. Conditions were good for early April. Some sand traps were under repair and had some standing water due to a recent downpour. Otherwise, the putting on the greens was great and I would love to return and play this course again.

Great course conditions but the pace of play was so terrible. Completely over booked with multiple 5somes and 6somes. Unfortunately I won't be trying this course again.

Arrived 20 mins before tee time, was rushed to the tee only to find the starter pushed 2 groups ahead of us. 2nd group started as a 2 some, ended as a foresome which were playing as a scamble group, but waited on 15 of 18 tee boxes. Greens were good until the course decided to punch greens with a full tee sheet. 1st 3 holes were not punched but the next several holes had just been punched and sand had been broadcast from a spreader and not watered in or brushed at all. We encountered 2 greens that had sand spread but not areation had taken place. Bunkers were all void of virtually any sand and many had standing water in them. Wish we would have played somewhere else. No mention when paying that they would be punching greens while playing. Could be a good course, but pace of play has always been miserable everytime ive played the course, had been several years since playing, seems nothing has changed.

We decided to play some morning golf - 9am tee time Monday. We called Sunday afternoon to book the tee times. We showed Monday morning to enjoy a nice round of golf but it was anything but that. We got through 5 holes fine but the 6th hole was when the issue started. We approached the green and it was completely aerated but the issue was sand. They were starting to lay thick layers of sand on every hole. I understand this is how greens are maintained but the issue is with the club house not mentioning this when booking tee times and also charging full price. If they would communicate this ahead of booking then individuals could make their own decision. We played the next 3 holes with layers of sand on the greens before we tried to call the club house to understand if our entire play was going to be like this. The club house rep was very rude and basically said the maintenance crew runs their own schedule and the club house has nothing to do with it, which we found out later was completely a lie. We continued our play and by hole 12 we met the maintenance crew chief on the course. He confirmed the clubhouse knew and should be confirming to public but THEY NEVER DO! This is horrible business and shows Bear Creek is trying to charge premium on a Monday $40 while play was severely crippled with sand being spread and left on the greens.

Bear Creek has a great course layout but this type of stuff is unacceptable when ppl are paying premium rates during the week. I hope they can align club house and maintenance crew to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future.

Overall the course was in good condition. The green was smooth and fast and the pace of play was good. There was hardly one out there and I enjoyed myself. The staff was friendly and I would recommend this to my friends. Very challenging and a lot of fun.

Can’t play bunker shots, no sand just mud. Most tee boxes pretty thin as are most fairways, but in all fairness it is winter groundsmen were fertilizing as we played so with warmer weather they should improve.

Bear creek has some very challenging holes. The greens were quick and fairly smooth. They have quite a bit of slope to them.

Bunkers were in poor condition. Mostly unplayable.

FAirways were wet and soft, but it is early March so typical. Tee boxes were good. Staff was friendly. Had a couple guys in front trying to play the tips and slowed us down a bit. You should not play the tips here unless you’re driving it 240 or more and you’re a 5 Or better handicap

Need to do better on scheduling, very slow play,. Known for stacking up golfers, but we love the course!
