Overall good course
This is a good course to play at a pretty decent value. The only real complaint I have is that they cram tee times together. It typically opens up after about 6 holes, but the start is always slow.
Pace of play & Bunkers
The pace of play was extremely slow and it should be monitored more by the course. A five hour round is just too long. They are working on the bunkers and most of them are lacking sand.
On a positive note the fairways are in good condition and the greens were also in good condition.
Overall it’s a fun course to play
Disappointment
This course up until 2016ish was one of my favorites. At that point the maintenance let the course fall apart. Greens are pretty beat up, tee boxes are disappointing cart path is beat up and needs replacement or just torn out and gravel laid. Today and the last couple of visits over the last couple of years the pace is ridiculous. Put some rangers on the course and keep people moving or force people to wait. My disappointment is hard to explain, this course needs rescued, it could be one of the best public courses in the area!
Extremely slow pace of play, extremely rude marshall
First review I have ever written. Visiting with my son, played today. Clubhouse staff nice, starter very nice. Pace of play turned to complete stop by 2 holes. Over an hour and fifteen minutes to play 3 holes. 3 groups waiting. Marshall comes up and starts talking condescendingly to our group and wants to know who’s complaining about pace of play problems. Told him our time to play, and continued to talk down to us saying so, its a Saturday and cart path and basically get over it. Sat next to our group until we teed off about 15 minutes later due to group in front. Extremely unprofessional marshall, will never play this course again.
Hello,

Pace still an issue
Always say I won’t be back but I usually give it another shot every 3 months. Still the same. Load up the tee sheet and then pray everyone will move along. I think I’ve finally learned that this one isn’t worth a five hour round for a threesome. Too bad. Course was in good condition. Frustrating that they don’t take pace seriously.
Solid course
Great course to play when you can find a deal for around $25
Great course in great shape
Bear Creek is a challenging layout and is in great shape T to Green they were having a lot of trouble with there bunkers draining, but looks like they have that problem under control now and the bunker were dry and machine raked.
Good for the money
Some tee boxes very thin, bunkers mostly unplayable( all mud, very little sand) greens in pretty good shape, fast
Bear Creek
Got a good round in, was faster than usual. Pace of play has been an issue previously but was better this time
Good condition, average score, poor pace
Played on a weekend around noon so after the morning rush (it was hot so many started early). Course was in very good shape & we enjoyed our round except for the pace. We played behind a couple of guys who were hitting it all over the place. They were waiting too so we couldn't complain about them. When we made the turn the two guys were gone, but there was a foursome teeing off that we hadn't seen before. Thought maybe the back would be faster, but it was even worse.
Slow
The course was nice and seemed to be kept up pretty well. The pace of play was terrible. I was in a group of three and was backed up the entire time. It took us about 15 minutes per hole as we had to wait for multiple groups in front of us and we waited on every tee box for at least 5 minutes before being able to tee off, also due to waiting on groups in front of us. After completing hole 2, we could see that there were 3 groups backed up in front of us. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this on this course, I was hoping it would be different this time as I have this course another chance. Unfortunately it was the same result. I would not recommend playing this course, unless you are in absolutely no hurry and plan on playing a 6 hour round of golf.
Well taken care of course
Only issue was with the grouping and no starter to off set play. Took way longer due to a group of 4 and the Marshall driving around didn’t have them wait. To many in experienced people hitting multiple drives. Front staff kid was snarky. Good course and a lot of variables to play around with.
A Pandemic Gem
Simply put, the course conditions were phenomenal. This was my first round amidst the current pandemic and I was pleasantly surprised by Bear Creek. Typically, I expect course conditions to be reflective of the price, but they definitely bucked this trend. Every aspect of the course from tee box to green made it evident that the grounds crew take great pride in their jobs. I would consider this course one of the best bargains in the area.
Wonderful change in my coarse
I was always intimated to play Bear Creek, until the first time I played which was this year it is now my favorite place to golf. I compare it with Kanapali Maui but here local. Friendly patrons and also staff. I’ll see you all this Friday again!
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. The greens could have been a bit shaggy due to the rain, but our grounds crew is out there as we speak working on upkeep. We are interested in hearing where you noticed the cart path being in poor shape. Please email us detailed information at info@bearcreekgolf.com so we can look into this issue further.
