A Pandemic Gem
Simply put, the course conditions were phenomenal. This was my first round amidst the current pandemic and I was pleasantly surprised by Bear Creek. Typically, I expect course conditions to be reflective of the price, but they definitely bucked this trend. Every aspect of the course from tee box to green made it evident that the grounds crew take great pride in their jobs. I would consider this course one of the best bargains in the area.
Wonderful change in my coarse
I was always intimated to play Bear Creek, until the first time I played which was this year it is now my favorite place to golf. I compare it with Kanapali Maui but here local. Friendly patrons and also staff. I’ll see you all this Friday again!
Terrible pace of play
Don’t expect anything less than a 5 hour round here. They space out the tee times about 8 minutes in between each other. This course was like this about two months ago every time I went so stopped playing here for a while. Nearly two months later and the same thing is happening. At least a 10-15 minute wait on every tee box and another wait for approach shots. Couldn’t even finish 18 because it was so unbearably slow.
Sand traps away from Perfect
The course is in really good shape. The only downfall are the sandtraps. They are currently working on them, so hopefully before long this course will get a 5 star rating. Good job to Bear Creek and staff.
Also food is outstanding, almost too good for the turn. You may want to sit down and enjoy it.
Waterloo
This is a great course for the recreational golfer is challenging. Tons of water Sansa front of the greens, also nice greens well kept up.
Nice course, little pricey, Slow party
Nice course, greens in great condition. Pace of play was ridiculously slow. Cost a little high for the course.
Customer service
The staff needs customer service training at the front desk.
Slow again
Great public course, when you are able to finish it. For the second time in a month, I paid for 18 and walked off after nine. It took an hour and twenty minutes to play four holes and 3 hours and 2 minutes to play 9. Abysmal pace of play.
Good layout
I played the tips from 7,000 yds and it was a challenging but fair layout. A lot of well designed holes with some risk/reward on some. Conditions were good. Pace of play was adequate.
Sunday is not funday
Rack ‘em, stack ‘em and pack ‘em. Tee time of 11:44, who teeing off at that time? The 11:14 group. Should I book ever again with Golf Pass? Greeted by the cashier with “Oh, you’re a hot deal. Yah, we don’t make any money off of you.” Then why does Bear Creek use this service?
Course is in fair shape. Fairway 4 still under repair.
Need more marshals, 5.5 hours for 18 holes is too long
Very slow play,
Very slow play, had a sixum playing in front of us . A marshal drove by and didn’t stop them.
Long afternoon
Tee off time of 10:40. Finished round at 3:55. Group of 20 playing ahead of us. Other than that had an awesome time
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're sorry to hear it took so long. With most people taking their own cart lately, it has slowed things down, but we're now able to allow two people per cart. We're hopeful that the pace will go up because of this. We hope to see you out here again!
Where Are The Marshals?
Today’s round was all about pace of play with no marshals. The course was not full, but the group ahead of us was playing super slow and without regard for anyone. Yet, there were no marshals or anyone else out to help move things along. Round took 5 hours and 15 minutes. Greens were in good condition except for hole 11. Fairways pretty good too. The sand is awful and hard as a rock. Used to play here 4-5 times a year, but don’t know if I’m coming back this year after this experience.
Hello,
We're sorry to hear that you had a poor experience. We do have marshals out on the course during the weekends, so we will look into this issue to figure out what happened. We hope you will give us another chance!
Thanks for taking the time to rate your experience! See you again, soon!
Bad pace of play
We had to wait 35 minutes on the first hole for a foursome to even get to the green. There were people getting very backed up. Only played 9 holes due to how bad the pace of play was.
Hi Larry,
Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. The pace has been a little slower lately with more people wanting to get outside and most of them taking their own cart. We hope to see you out here again, soon!
