Mild July Day
Course is in good shape. Bunkers need some work. Had fun and shot well on a cooler July day
Stop pairing the first groups up!!
We were one of the first groups off this morning and we were paired with other people. I completely understand this on a very busy day and an afternoon tee time, but there was hardly anyone there this morning when we teed off. This killed pace of play. It took 5 hours to play 18 holes! That is unacceptable for being one of the first tee times. If we were allowed to play without being paired we would have been able to play through and be done under 3 hours. Five hour rounds should only happen after 8 am when everyone starts to play. Never once have I been paired with other people when being one of the first groups off. Completely ruined the experience.
Played early morning round. Course was is great shape except repairing one fairway. Pace of play was good. Staff was friendly. Had a good time!
Thank you for the 5 star review! We're glad you had a good time
enjoyable day
I have played the course many times but it was the first for my wife. We had an enjoyable day. Playing on a holiday usually means a slow round but we played in 4 1/2 hours.
Thank you for the 5 star review!
Took 6 hours to play 18
There were 4 groups on a hole at one time and we waited 10 min in between each shot.
Thank you for your feedback, we will be informing our marshals that this happened! We apologize for the slow pace of play you experienced and hope that you come try the course again sometime. If you ever notice poor pace of play and don't see any cart marshals around, be sure to give our pro shop a call and we will send someone out to speed up the golfers.
Bunkers rough, some tee boxes thin but other than that ok
Thank you for your review. I'll have someone look into our bunkers!
Overall Enjoyable
The initial pace of play was so slow that we skipped around and found some good pockets. Goose poop is a major problem on the water holes. It actually stunk. We skipped 18 because it was so bad. However we did have fun and it is a nice course .
thank you for your review. We apologize for the slow pace of play, something we are continuously working on! Thank you for bringing the goose problem to our attention! I will make sure someone cleans up after our goose friends.
Good Condition
Played B.C. last Friday and the course was in good condition. Lots of workers out mowing and taking care of other general maintenance. Greens were really good, rolled very nice with good speed.
Thank you for your review! Our maintenance staff works hard on the course, its nice to see their work pay off.
Course is in good condition considering the wet spring we have had. Greens and tees are great. Fairways are good and will get better with time. Will be playing again.
Thank you for your review!
So glad to hear you had a good experience with us, see you on the course!
Cart Path Only?
The course was bone dry and there was absolutely no reason to not drive on the fairways. You can't make that decision from the counter, you actually have to drive the course. Once again my round was plagued with super slow play from too many golfers and super slow play. For some reason this place is notorious for having tournaments all the time. How with a 8am Sunday start do I get stuck behind a foursome that thinks a scramble is everyone hits 2 balls? After 4.5 hrs and 16 holes, I left.
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry about the slow pace of play! Since we are a public golf course, we do see a wide variety of players and experience levels, which impacts the pace of play. That being said, Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and we will work on fixing this!
Hard Weather
It seems the weather bug caught our beauty Bear Creek. The greens were excellent but some fairways were washed out pretty bad (they did mark cart path only for those areas). I am sure they are working on them and by the summer time they will be magnificent as always. The staff was awesome as they usually are and the pace of play was perfect. (Played 9holes)
Thank you for your review! Missouri weather always likes to make things difficult for us, but we hope to have our greens back and beautiful in no time!
You get what you pay for.
Pros: It’s a $20 course!
Cons: Its a $20 course, and you can tell.
Golf in January
Course was in very good condition for January. 45 degree day in January and no one was on course. Had a great time and greens were in great shape. I recommend this course to the novice or pro
Thank you for the 5 star review!
