Labor Day
Played Labor Day morning. Pace of play was very slow. Guess that is expected on a holiday. Sand traps were full of water and dirt. Fairways and greens in good shape. Had a good time.
Beautiful course
Great course. The sand traps were quite packed down, needed to be tilled or raked. Other than that it was perfect.
Great Time
Course is in really good condition for the end of summer. The green on 3 could use some work. A lot of the bunkers were full of water or looked hard as a rock. Fairways were in excellent shape and rough was freshly mowed. I always have a good time at Bear Creek.
Nice course at a nice price
I was out of town and found this course online. It was 4 star rated. I was alone and asked to be teamed up with another group, The staff arranged it and I played with a nice guy and a couple. Very interesting and fun layout, The greens were very large and in excellent condition. They roll well and very true. Held shots well. Pace of play was good but we did have to wait a bit the last few holes on the front nine. But, pace picked up on the back nine, overall time was about 4 1/2 hours. For the price it was a very good deal. The clubhouse was very nice and comfy. Friendly staff. One bonus was the free yardage book. A very nice and well detailed book with carry and layup distances. Most courses charge 5 or 6 bucks for this. I would play this course again.
Great Course
I was trying to think if there was any reason why i shouldn't give this course 5 stars...i couldn't come up with any. Me and 2 buddies got out here early, 7 am tee time and we finished up by 11am. The fairways and bunkers were in great condition, the rough was what it should be...rough. The green were rolling, so you really had to judge your putts wisely. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming since it was our first time ever playing the course. Lastly, the value is phenomenal. You get a great view on every hole. Will most definitely be back here in the short future.
Mild July Day
Course is in good shape. Bunkers need some work. Had fun and shot well on a cooler July day
Stop pairing the first groups up!!
We were one of the first groups off this morning and we were paired with other people. I completely understand this on a very busy day and an afternoon tee time, but there was hardly anyone there this morning when we teed off. This killed pace of play. It took 5 hours to play 18 holes! That is unacceptable for being one of the first tee times. If we were allowed to play without being paired we would have been able to play through and be done under 3 hours. Five hour rounds should only happen after 8 am when everyone starts to play. Never once have I been paired with other people when being one of the first groups off. Completely ruined the experience.
Played early morning round. Course was is great shape except repairing one fairway. Pace of play was good. Staff was friendly. Had a good time!
Thank you for the 5 star review! We're glad you had a good time
enjoyable day
I have played the course many times but it was the first for my wife. We had an enjoyable day. Playing on a holiday usually means a slow round but we played in 4 1/2 hours.
Thank you for the 5 star review!
Took 6 hours to play 18
There were 4 groups on a hole at one time and we waited 10 min in between each shot.
Thank you for your feedback, we will be informing our marshals that this happened! We apologize for the slow pace of play you experienced and hope that you come try the course again sometime. If you ever notice poor pace of play and don't see any cart marshals around, be sure to give our pro shop a call and we will send someone out to speed up the golfers.
Bunkers rough, some tee boxes thin but other than that ok
Thank you for your review. I'll have someone look into our bunkers!
Overall Enjoyable
The initial pace of play was so slow that we skipped around and found some good pockets. Goose poop is a major problem on the water holes. It actually stunk. We skipped 18 because it was so bad. However we did have fun and it is a nice course .
thank you for your review. We apologize for the slow pace of play, something we are continuously working on! Thank you for bringing the goose problem to our attention! I will make sure someone cleans up after our goose friends.
Thank you for the 5 star review!
