Very nice course!! Horribly managed golf tee times way to busy
Well I live 2.2 miles away I quit coming to this very convient course because a normal round of golf should be 3-4 hrs not 6 plus. Well every hole had a group of 4 or so waiting each hole tool 20-25 minutes to play. Well 2 years ago my father in law and my self played on a hot summer day think 2 people should be 3 hrs max well 4hrs in and skipping the last 6 holes was ridiculous. Also I just played on Sunday at 10.56 with 2 other people and we finished at 5 pm what a joke.the staff is very nice and the cart ladies but trying to pinch every buck to scramble people in is far from a pleasant fun golf outing. I would say you should go to InnsBrook and take some lessons. They have a wonderful facility with a fantastic restaurant and bar while making sure the rounds are at least 11 minutes apart. Where you never are waiting! I understand a wait is going to happen now and then hit not for all 18 holes. They want to make the outing nice also there round is about 5-7 dollars less and is a 5 star course. So I travel 15-35 miles now to play because the convient course 3 stop lamps away is an all day unpleasant, waste of time and money. I hope you take this survey into consideration there is a ton of people that feel the same way. They will never return golf is a fun awesome sport but 6hrs is not fun totally can't get a rhythm going . I hate to be negative but someone needs to let you know to make it better for customers.

Thunderstrom
Course just got hit w/2in of rain that morning so not much u can do about that. Just wish cart paths weren't flooded. Worth what we paid.
The rain has been pretty rough on us this year but we are working hard to keep the course in the best shape possible! Glad you were able to come out and enjoy it despite the amount of water on the course and that you enjoyed your experience. We hope to see you again soon!
Great day
Friendly staff, reasonable pricing for the amenities, mostly-well maintained course. There has been a lot of rain and some tee reconstruction appears to be happening. Rolling terrain was nice to look at. Overall we had a great time.
We do have some tee reconstruction going on that we are very excited about on Hole #13. Once finished, there will be a new forward tee for ladies and seniors. What is happening?
I love coming to play this course. Always a challenge and at a great price. This season has been the WORST as far as the condition of the greens. I understand that for some reason people cannot seem to fix their own ball marks, but it really comes down to the course to try and monitor this and remind people that this is a matter of respect to the course. It has gotten worse and worse and I am almost to the point of not returning due to this problem. Please do something about this! This course has a great layout and all the potential to be great once again.
We have tried various outlets to get this issue out to our players. It is posted on our website and on every receipt handed out when a player checks in. We have even written articles in our newsletters about it as well. We are trying to encourage our players to repair their ball marks but ultimately, it comes down to players such as yourself to tell others about it and have the same mentality as you do to resolve the issue. We hope to see a change in this soon, just as much as you do. Thank you for being a loyal customer to Bear Creek- we look forward to seeing you again!
Hot Day
Plenty of tall trees on many holes or there were a couple of holes with houses lining them so straight shots are definitely helpful.

Round in Bear Creek
Very nice course. We played from the black tee, long and challenging.
Every hole has something you will remember.
Only the bunkers were not in very good conditions. Sand was too firm.
I will play again, if I will have a chance.

rainy day
I prepaid and got 4 for $15 each person. Played it a few times before. Nobody was on the course because it was a rainy day, but they had carts ready and dried off for us. Staff was friendly, and good and drink were quick and cheap.

Not received well!
Did not appear that they really wanted golf now players. Also, ran out of carts and did not inform anyone tee times were running 30 behind when you checked in. Marshal on us all day, even though we were all waiting on each tee box.

Good condition considering amount of rain
Course was in good shape considering the monsoons we've been having. Play was a little slow because of 3 some ahead.

Challenging course
I enjoyed my round as always- a moderately tough course with a variety of different challenges facing you on each hole.
My only complaint- the bunkers. This course is always in good shape, and you get a good value for the money, but they can never get the bunkers right. The bunkers never seem to have sand in them and are very poorly kept. I tried raking a few that I played out of but really had a tough time making a difference because there was so little sand.
Other than that, the fairways were great and the greens were fine as well, and I always enjoy getting away to Wentzville to play this course.

All of the constant rain this season has been very hard on them and our staff working hard to maintain them. But we are trying as best as we can in keeping up with Mother Nature! Fun Course
This course is a fun course but with the recent rain it was very soggy, the rough was very very thick and unkempt, and the greens were a tad slow, but like I said, it's a fun course and will be back when it dries up some more.
Yes we have been hit hard by the rain this month. This June has been the wettest on record! We are hoping the course will dry up soon so we can bounce back on the condition of the course. Thank you for playing! We look forward to seeing you out on the course again!
Great course for the price
We weren't sure what to expect when we booked as it was our first time and the price was so reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised. Nice course and friendly staff. Can't wait to play there again.

Selective Value at the Right Time-Not Always
Layout is challenging as long as you choose the correct tee box. Nice variety of holes as well. The greens were bumpy and slow so they did not match the caliber of the course. The bunkers had very little sand and were basically hard pan. I signed up for 18 but only did nine as the course stuck a bunch of players in front of me at the turn trying to avoid a couples league that had started after me on the front nine. If the greens were faster and the bunkers well raked, this would be a very nice course. The management could do a little better job of managing the pace of play.

Splendor amid the Mc Mansions
At Bear Creek Wentzville you don't really feel like you're getting away from it all. This was like playing in the backyards of an upscale neighborhood of Mc Mansions. The greens left a lot to be desired. The people who frequent this course are not real good at repairing ball marks on the green. The cart girls hit you up constantly. Not bad but I don't feel compelled to return.
We apologize about your negative experience with our course. The neighborhood we sit within adds difficulty to the layout of the course, which can be exciting to some and inconvenient to others. Our cart attendants work hard to ensure that everyone is happy and well-hydrated, which can be great to golfers looking for frequent refreshments or frustrating to those uninterested in their services and wanting to focus more on their game of golf. These types of situations are hard to please different types of people. Still, we thank you for your feedback and hope you will return to give our course another shot sometime in the future. SLOW PLAY

Read the reviews - Poorly managed course!
I read the other reviews on how poorly managed the course was and all the problems, but also read that it was supposed to be one of the best in the area, and I got a great rate so I booked a tee time online at 1:04pm. The time only offered option for 1-2 people so I was assuming I would be paired with another 2some. I showed up to the course at 12:45. The older guy at the counter said "Oh, your a single". I said yes. He then said "well, we have several other singles coming so we will get you out here real quick and told me to go putt or something. I went over to putting green, and after half an hour I came back and asked what was going on. Now there were 2 older guys at the counter and neither one of them knew who I was, or who I was supposed to be paired with. There were several 4somes and 5somes that had teed off for the last hour. 1 Older guy said, we can take you out 3 or 4holes and just have you start there. I said, Are you kidding, the course is packed, you would have no where to "fit" me in. He then told me to just follow the 5some on the tee, and ask people to play through. There were many other problems with the poor management of the course by what appears to be retired guys who want free golf, but I only have so much time.
As for the best course around. The course has a good layout, but is not in great condition. To many "muni" players tearing it up. Tees were OK. Fairways were very thin and bare in some spots. Greens were good though. While a good layout, the course is not much of a challenge for the better player, thus it draws a lot of newer golfers.
Pace of play was terrible and course condition was average at best. If you are a better or even average player and are wanting to have a good time on a decent track while enjoying your round, find somewhere else. This was the first time I played here, and it will be the last.

We apologize for the lack of communication among our staff and the issues with pairing you with another group. This is typically not our normal procedure and we apologize for that. Slow !!!!!
Took 5 hours 15 min on a Friday afternoon. That is slow !

Nice Layout!
First time I played this course and I really liked the layout and course condition. The greens were quite large, rolled true, and were fairly fast. The only negative was that the bunkers were in pretty bad shape - low on sand so were hardpan or crusty. Would not be good for walkers as there are some holes that have a long way between greens and the next tee. I will definitely play this course again!

We appreciate you coming out again even though you felt your previous experience with us was less than satisfactory. We would like to mention that a 6+ hour round is not our standard time and survey results lately have actually come back with positive feedback regarding our pace of play. We have worked very hard to improve this issue over the 2015 season. On your particular day of play, we had an outing of about 25 people playing in front of you with a skill level that did not maintain our ideal pace of play. We worked very hard to keep the pace moving, although we can only do so much. We apologize that your round was not at a pace of your preference and hope you will give our course another chance.
