Bear Creek Golf Club

I booked my round on golfnow. When I got to the course, the starter told me they were stating off the back nine. First of all after I hit my first shot of the day,I look back and saw there were some young kids walking up behind me. I thought nothing of it and kept playing. The next hole I was approached by someone from the course telling me to join up with the group in front of me. We all know that that isn't always an option. The group in front makes that determination. The reason being, it would speed up play. They put kids off who were playing in some sort of league right after me. When I came to the turn, which would be the front nine. I noticed they booked some people to go off the front. I sat and waited 15 minutes for my turn to tee off. They were st that point sending people off the front first because they had a men's league now playing the back. They overbook this golf course. They try to suck every dollar out of every minute no matter what experience the golfer might have there. Frustrating! Play there in the morning, which will end up costing more and negating the value.

This course is really nice with lots of great views around. There are hazards that make it challenging, but it also isn't too hard for a beginner. Very fun to play and especially worth the money. Always have lots of great deals too!

I have played the course a few times over the years. It has almost always been kept in good shape but for various reasons it has almost always taken 5 hours + for a foursome to play a round. My overall rating is based on the quality of course only.

Way over booked. 7 guys on the green in the group ahead of us. When I mentioned it to a staff member that drove by us he couldn't have been more unprofessional. It's a shame. Not a well managed course/facility.

relaxing day of golf with excellent weather and great friends. nothing better.

The courts seems to be well maintained with friendly staff and has forward tee boxes that make the game more enjoyable for us higher handicap players, after all we are out their to enjoy the game.
Theirs no question the couse has a great selection of tee boxes to challenge players of every level of play. We played the course twice this week and will certainly play it more often if they continue to offer good midweek rates. Thank

Great course, pace of play excellent I will play this course again.

We were stuck behind a father with his 2 kids and they wouldn't ever let us pass. It made the day way too long. And when we were able to take our shots, the grounds keepers would drive passed us with no regard to us. Not only would they drive passed in the middle of a shot, they would drive into the middle of the fairway and we'd have to wait. The course is fun and a good challenge. I just wish it was managed a little better.

The pace of play that I experienced this last round will probably keep me from playing here on the weekends ever again. It is hard to get into a rhythm when you have to wait 10 min between holes. Course was in pretty good shape though.

Played on a Sunday. Starter was super friendly! I like how course is asking for you to keep up with times so they can track pace of play! Saw the marshall out several times. Flow was great on course - only had to wait a few times. Some fairways could use some TLC but overall a nice round on a perfect day!

Course was very nice, challenging but fair. Pace of play was very poor took around 2:45 to play front nine. Staff was not real friendly and couldn't find tee time. Definitely worth the money to play and will gladly play again

Solid value for the money.. Play was a little slow due to poor play by the group in front of us.. Why do the worst golfers spend so much time looking for lost balls?

Great day,, the course was a lot of fun. beautiful setting. The ruff, even though cut short, is tough. The ball sits down when it lands so is sometimes very hard to see. Stay on the fairway. The day we played it was 93* and 60% humidity. The afternoon got brutal. Play early or late. The staff was excellent! I would definitely recommend this course!

Course was in good shape and weather was nice had a good time.

Great layout but the pace of play continues to be a problem here. Have not played under 5 hours the last two rounds.

The course in in average condition for the price. The staff except for the cart girl were rude and unfriendly. They always are and we now expect it from them. Too bad!

Course was in good shape and the staff was friendly. The round took 6 hours and 20 minutes, the marshall drove by 2-3 times and never once explained what was causing the slow play.

When priced below $20 per round, Bear Creek is hard to beat in St. Charles County.

Staff Friendly. The course was in great shape. Also played Friday before Father's Day Sunday. Lost alot of balls friday, 1st time out. Rough was long and wet. I thought the course was Fantastic. Played Sunday with 1 ball. Guess I got better. We will play again !
