Great Value for the Money
Rate with cart was listed at $2 per person so I reserved for 2 people for a total cost with fess of $8.98. The fees booking were more than the green fees!!!
Must have been a typo but I took advantage of it which is why I rated 5 stars for "Value for Money". Realistically if you could play this course for $30 or less (including cart) I would say that's a good deal. Course conditions could be better (par three tee boxes pretty beat up, lots of crab grass around the greens, etc) but overall not too bad.
The course is challenging. Every hole is tree lined on both sides and pretty tight. Luckily I was hitting my driver very well and managed to shoot 3 over for 17 holes (ran out of daylight due to having to stop multiple times for ran delays), but if you spray your driver you will be spending ALOT of time in the woods on this course as there is no where to bailout. Most of the holes are very similar, uphill tee shot to a tree lined fairway. Three of the par 4's require irons off the tee and only need to go 165 -175 yards or so. LOTS of out of bounds stakes on this course since it winds its way through a subdivision. I played when it was pretty wet but I could see the greens becoming pretty quick. It was a good experience and I'm happy I played well but this course is a challenge!
Great course and Great Value
Love this course. Very challenging!! The staff are very friendly.
Fun round, enjoyed my time
Played on a Sunday afternoon. Was a bit warm but otherwise pleasant. Pace of play moved along. Played 14 holes in 2 hours (was playing solo), then ran into a foursome who had no concept of ready golf. Played last 4 holes in a bit over an hour.
Course is in reasonable shape. Greens ran true and were consistent in speed. Fairways were in decent condition. A few soggy spots, but the area has had a lot of rain of late.
My only complaints. 1) Tee boxes on the par threes are just beat up. Not a lot of grass or flat space. 2) I think they invested in poison ivy :) It lines so much of the wooded areas.
Staff were pleasant, carts were clean and had no issues. Local knowledge of the course is helpful as there are several holes where target golf is a must. Will definitely continue to play here.
Slow play.
Very slow play. Layout is just kind of weird. Definitely tough to know what to do first time out. Seemed understaffed.
Not a fan
My take is that the course management really wants this to be a private club, but can’t make it happen. It’s a tough course made harder by fairways left long, some fast greens, some slow greens, etc….all to keep the high-handicap riffraff away. Some other players on the course amplified this sentiment.
Message received loud and clear…they won’t have to worry about me coming back.
Not my favorite course
Poor design. Blind shots on many holes makes it a danger to other golfers.
Great course
Fun track keeps you on your toes
Great staff (Aaron) great customer service .
Hidden gem
Course is in good shape. Course features some narrow fairways, elevation changes, blind shots, tough pin placements. Staff is very friendly. Cart paths and the carts can be a little rough but otherwise, really enjoyed playing here and highly recommend it.
Nice little hidden course
Nice course, friendly staff. For some reason Apple Maps took me to a nearby subdivision so be mindful of that. Course was in decent shape but some of the rough Haden been maintained. Many of the parent sidewalks were in bad shape and desperately need repair. But for 30$ on a hot deal I can’t complain.
Whispering Pines at first blush
I played the first time on Mother's day and the course was fairly empty of players, so I played the round alone. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The first thing I noticed is how hilly the course was. There is rarely a shot where you aren't hitting up or down or having to play the ball above or below your feet. It's not a long course from the white tees, so I thought it probably was going to be an easy practice round for me. Boy, was I wrong! Many tee shots are blind over hills and there are almost no flat lies anywhere which makes shot placement critical. Some of the fairways have such side slope that you must hit on the highest point or risk having the ball roll off the lower side into the rough. A few fairways get real tight tight where your drive comes down, so accuracy is a must. The greens were in great shape and like everything else, you'll find a lot of slope there too. It's a pretty course to play as well as being very reasonably priced. If you feel confident in your game you will have fun here.

Pro shop has a huge selection of balls, clothing, hats, and gloves. Not much for food. I believe they only had hot dogs, but a great adult drink selection. Course was in great shape. Greens were top notch
