Great Layout
Hadn’t played it in over 20 years and just loved the layout. Challenging but fair. Followed an outing so a lot of ball marks on the green and bunkers need work
Loved it!
The only problem I had was slow play and no Marshall to be seen. That's it!
Still a test.
Thoroughly enjoyed my round with my dad and my son. Course is in pretty good shape, greens rolled nice although the tee boxes need s lot of work. Felt like we had the course to ourselves. Fun layout to play, will challenge you.
“The little things “
Had a 11:40 tee off didn’t get out till 12:30(a free bucket of balls for the range would have been nice) for the inconvenience.Water in the ball wash, something to dry said ball, warning of huge speed bump from protruding kalfurts on creeks, over flowing garbage cans, other than that, beautiful public course very good shape I would come back, and very good lunch in clubhouse
Very nice experience
So much better than average. A bit of a challenge yet open enough to enjoy. The par 5 first hole will humble everyone.
Rattle Run
Course is in great shape and the greens are rolling well! Only tip is be careful on #7 green!
Nice Day. Slow Play.
Course was in great shape. Weather was great. Busiest I have ever seen Rattle Run. Almost 3 hours to play 9.
Great time! Great price!
Storms had just ripped through the area the previous day and the course was in great shape still. I play this course every year in an outing and it’s always a good time. Staff is great course is great!
Awful Design
This course was designed by the original owner that had little knowledge of golf architecture. The results reflect this novice approach. At lease two holes that are completely unplayable. Go to a driving range for a much more worthwhile outing.
It doesn’t get any better!
Spectacular layout.! The par fours collectively are as tough as you will find on any course anywhere! I’ve played courses around the world and this Is still my favorite and it’s right in my backyard. Thank you Rattle Run...!!!!
Revamped
First played course 25 years ago and it was great. for some reason it started to go downhill to the point it was no longer a place to play. Heard that they were trying to fix it up and 3 years ago started playing it again. While it isn't the place it was as new it is certainly trying. Staff is friendly in pro shop, grounds crew will tell you about the improvements they have seen and are eager for more. Rangers are helpful and informative while maintaining pace of play. Although not the perfect course yet it is one that is competitive and fun to play. And the main part is it improves every year. Will be back
Gorgeous course!!! Great staff. Wonderful golfing experience.
Amazing layout. Nice greens. Lush fairways. Tree lined nirvana!!! Great value.
Feel of northern Michigan
Course was in great condition except for a few tee boxes. They need some TLC. On many of the holes it felt like I was up north. Wonderful! The staff is very nice and the food is good!
Fun Course
I really enjoy playing this course. I just wish I was a better golfer because it is fairly challenging. Sort of what you find in northern Michigan.
Excellent condition except for the bunkers
Very nice lay-out ( was on the list of "top 75 you can play" a couple decades ago). Greens and fairways are in quite good condition. Some tee boxes(too little grass) and the bunkers (mud, not sand) need attention
First time playing the course with my husband and I'm anxious to play it again! The course had the feel of an "Up North" course----scenic, wide fairways, challenging and fun!!! The course was green and lush with the exception of a few of the tee boxes. We'll definitely be back!!!
Sounds like someone wasn’t playing very good that day
