Excellent layout; improved conditions
Course is in much better shape than a few years ago. Back to the quality it was when it made "Golf Digest's top 75 you can play" when the course opened up years ago
A beauty of a course
I really like this course - the course is among the forest -?trees, streams, nature (grey heron) and a great day away from it all. Lots of elevation changes- water hazards etc. Excellent course!
Fun Layout
Played this course on a busy Sunday afternoon. Found the pace of play was reasonable. The important things, the greens and fairways were in great condition. Some of the tee boxes were beat up but playable. The cart path is rough in places and we found some little things that would improve the course's image like, filling dry ball washers and replacing the towels on the ball washers were neglected. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Rattle Run
The course itself is a decent layout and was in playable conditions. The greens were smooth but extremely slow.
The pace of play was atrocious. Prior to the start of our round I overheard the starter in the pro shop say.”I’m the starter today and I’m not going out there.” The resulting incompetence showed. We had a twosome and a foursome attempt to jump in front of us while we were on the tee box! Groups were tied up all over the course. Golfers were jumping onto the back 9 to speed up due to a lack of management. I would not recommend this course of pace of play is important to you.
Wow! Superb Course!!
This is just a fantastic course and hidden treasure. It is challenging and beautiful. Every shot is important. You will never be bored.
It was hot so the ground was pretty hard and fast. Greens were in good shape!
Great Course!
My wife and I played Rattle Run last week - and thoroughly enjoyed it! We arrived a little late because of bridge construction, but the staff were very understanding and accommodating. Course conditions were excellent...Greens were a little slow - but it had rained pretty hard the night before...The break given for the forward tees was greatly appreciated...All in all, a very pleasurable experience...We'll be back.
New owners are great.
My wife and I are now regulars at Rattle Run. Years ago the course was not in good shape but the layout was always one of my favorites. The new owners have brought it back to life. The greens are great again and the new forward tees make it very east to play for everyone. It's a must play in my eyes.
Nice course
Course was in good shape and in very good condition. Last time I was here was 3 years ago and things look considerably better in all areas. Would play it again soon.
Challenging course
Beautiful course and really not that far about a 1/2 from Roseville area. Tough holes on most but still fun. Amateurs take extra balls, lots of hazards. Sand traps can use some work, pretty rough and tee boxes are worn. I would recommend still. You will see wildlife. Seen a young red fox on a tee box!
Good test of golf
First time playing this course in many years. Still a great test of golf. Lots of fun, saw a deer crossing the 14th fairway, just a nice day. Course condition was good and greens rolled true.
Great golf
Course is in really good condition, always have fun there. Lots of challenges but plenty of scoring holes as well.
Back Again
We used to play this course but it had started to decline so we hadn't been back until now. Under the new ownership the course is once again one of our favourites. The grounds were in great condition and the staff exceedingly friendly. Some tricky water holes and some easier par 3's.
TEE BOXES
Overall the course was in pretty good shape, but most of the tee boxes where bad.
