Great layout, conditions, and staff.
Awesome experience from the time we pulled up to the 18th green. Great course, layout, conditions, and views are worth checking out. Drove an hour to play here and will be coming back up to play again soon.
Great course
Drains well but greens were slower due to previous rain
I love it!
I discovered Lochmere GC last fall and fell in love with it.
Went back to play on July 5. The course condition was great. Proshop was renovated to have a modern and professional looking. I was grouped with three very pleasant girls. Everything was perfect.
I played Loudon CC on the 4th. It was a good round and Loudon is a decent course. However, if you have to decide between Loudon and Lochmere, I have to say the Lochmere is way better!
Best conditions in the area
Lochmere conditions are outstanding. Play there 2 times per week. They have made a large number of improvements, both to the course and to the clubhouse. Love playing there and recommend it to everyone!
Picture Perfect
The course is just amazing the fairways are always green and plush with 1st and 2nd cuts on fairways and around the greens. Greens are always true to the read. I would say this is a hidden jem but no longer they are always fully booked. Play if you can you will not be disappointed.
Great place to play
Excellent course conditions. Very friendly staff. Nice layout. My favorite place to play.
great course for the $
course is challenging but in great condition
fast greens
Course condition is fantastic, but the pro is awful.
We are regular, paying customers at Lochmere, and we have been playing there for over 15 years. My friends and I also belong to a golf association, that has regular, yearly events at the course, and we all look forward to playing there..
Let me first compliment the grounds crew for the absolutely great conditions on the course! The greens, fairways and tee boxes are in awesome shape. The new improvements of landscaping walls, tree removal and other upgrades, really enhance the playing experience. The updates in the clubhouse are also very pleasing, and they did a great job with those updates,
The starters are always on top of things, and we see them checking the pace of play on the course. We usually have a great chat, along with a little fun, friendly bantering on the first tee with the starters.
BUT, as far as the new pro, I'm sorry to say, they hired the wrong person to be the first contact to the course. The former pro, Vic was a great representative and face for the course. He was always personable, and would always do everything he could for the golfers.
We recently met the new pro, the last couple of times we went in to pay, and he has no personality, nor does he care about the customers. I felt as if he doesn't want to be there, and he made our foursome feel like we were not welcome. We tried to engage with him, and to get to know him (something he should have done to us), and it was an uncomfortable experience. We asked his name, welcomed him, and asked where he came from, and all we got was a one word "Butterbrook". We asked his name, and be mumbled a unrecognizable response. We don't expect to be entertained when we check in, but we do expect friendliness and respect for spending our hard earned money there, and we got neither of those with this guy. I understand everyone has a bad day, and you never know what is going on in someone's life, but this pro needs to step it up. I chatted with some members we know after our round, and the consensus was, that they all disliked the pro, and he doesn't engage with them either.
If the owners of Lochmere want to keep the customers coming in, they better do something about his rudeness.
Motorcycle Weekend
My only complaint, was , the groupings were kind of messed up.
great course for the $
greens were a little slower than usual but course is in great shape
