About
Mattawang Golf Club has changed very little since it first opened in 1960. The traditional layout has withstood the test of time as a challenging but playable layout. The course was designed to blend seamlessly into the natural setting while still testing your shot-making skills. You won’t find any man-made water hazards or artificial mounding on this golf course, instead you’ll be challenged by natural streams and ponds and mature evergreens. At first glance, the layout is seemingly wide open, but don’t let your guard down because the fairways are actually quite tight and many of them are strategically lined with trees. In keeping with the time it was built, the greens are smaller than those you would find on most modern golf courses and heavily protected by sand traps. Over the years, Mattawang Golf Club has built a reputation for having some of the well maintained putting surfaces in the area.

Course in good condition for this time of year.
Course is in good condition, staff is very accommodating, pace of play was excellent for a such a nice day in December.
Greens Under Repair but No Notice
If you’re going to have tarps over 3 greens, why didn’t you tell us before we booked? Ot at least tell us on the Pro Shop when we checked in. Bad business. Won’t be back again
Cold day
My tee time was delayed due to frost for 1hr. Played the course by myself. Was fun to work on somethings. The course was in great shape.
Great Golf Course
Well maintained and great greens. Played in a 3 hours as a two ball walking. Right out in front of you. No excuses.
Will definitely be back next season.
Course in great shape
I have read other reviews, people seem to have super high standards. This is a privately owned course and the staff do a fantastic job of keeping the course in playable condition. The greens are the highlight of the course Moderate to fast speed and pure rolls The fairways are in fine shape and the rough is kept low so it doesn’t really impact play. If you appreciate early golf course design you will appreciate the course
Perfect round of golf
Haven't played this course in over 10 years, but very pleased with the conditions. I will definitely come back.
Great Value for the Money
Let me preface this with the fact that I am a walker and the course is reasonably priced for walking. Fairways and greens overall are in great shape. Great layout and will be back
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Wgretta, that is a very different opinion then most and pretty misleading.
To be accurate, on the 3 greens referenced there is coverage for the winter on 1/4 of each of those greens and all of the coverage is on corners of greens not where actual putting is being done.
We are trying out best to have the greens 100% for the Spring. All 18 holes are open and very playable.
