About
Mattawang Golf Club has changed very little since it first opened in 1960. The traditional layout has withstood the test of time as a challenging but playable layout. The course was designed to blend seamlessly into the natural setting while still testing your shot-making skills. You won’t find any man-made water hazards or artificial mounding on this golf course, instead you’ll be challenged by natural streams and ponds and mature evergreens. At first glance, the layout is seemingly wide open, but don’t let your guard down because the fairways are actually quite tight and many of them are strategically lined with trees. In keeping with the time it was built, the greens are smaller than those you would find on most modern golf courses and heavily protected by sand traps. Over the years, Mattawang Golf Club has built a reputation for having some of the well maintained putting surfaces in the area.

12:51 Tee Time
Course was in great condition, except the greens were glacial. 15 ft down hill and you had to hit it 20+ to hope you got it there. Pace was okay, there was a 4some that split into 2 twosomes on the back slowing down the pace for everyone. In total took about 4:10 to play. Only major complaints were the range mats slid with any movement, and there was only one hot dog available at the turn (3pm on a weekend) will definitely be back.

Friday round
Had a great round today. First out and finished in 3.5 hrs even pace. Greens were in great shape and the rest of the course is great shape. Fun time had by all.

A great experience
Matawang is a 3 - 10 time a year course for my group and this visit was one of the best. The course was in great shape, the staff, always a awesome, and the weather was perfect. Greens were a little slow but in great shape and you just need to adjust. This is a deceptively challenging course so bring a few extra balls and enjoy!

Excellent conditions
The course is in excellent shape! For the person do give it 1 star was ridiculous. A fun mix of holes, some easy and a few really challenging.
