Flanders Valley Golf Club - White/Blue Course

I've been playing Flanders for many years now. Over the past 5 years or so the course has slowly slipped from a premier facility to average at best. Like to play the white to blue course. You notice on the first hole that the fairway is sunken in from past under ground work. Causes many sunken/uneven lies. Drainage needs work as well. Tee boxes, fairways and rough need work. Greens and sand traps are in great shape. Still a good place to play but investments needed in restoration of tee boxes, fairways and rough before the ratings continue to slip.

Beautiful course, great layout,, friendly staff. The only downside is the sandtraps. They is No sand. Needs a Freshing

I had a great round of golf with one of the employee of the course on his day off. What a great guy! The course is flat for most of the holes. The greens were slow on the day i played. The greens needed cutting and the fairways need some work. Lots of dry stops on the course. Around the greens on the course on the holes away from the club house needs top soil & seed. The tee box needs work. The bunks are filled with mud!! No sand to be found in the bunkers, its mud. The layout of the course is great, the coumpany was great, but the upkeep of the course is lacking. I hope they are planning to work on the upkeep off the course in the near future.

Unfortunately the day I played there the greens on the white and blue courses had just been top dressed with sand, and yet we were still charged the full greens fees for our round. There are many browned out areas of the rough on every hole. There are dirt ruts all over the course as well. And the bunkers need a lot of tender loving care. Otherwise its unfortunately a less than memorable county golf course. Too bad, enjoyed this place so much in my 20's.

Everyone was nice from cart staff, pro shop, stater & bartender. Course was in great shape. Some fairways a little brown but just fine. A little pricey for non county residents but my three friends were locals and a great value for that price.

I enjoyed playing the blue-white course with my father. The staff was friendly and we were even able to get out a few minutes before our tee time. The greens were aerated and sandy, which is the only thing keeping this course from a 5* rating in my book. I'm sure as the season progresses, though, that the greens will be in better condition.

course is right in front of you nothing special no real character. The gold I hear is more hilly but that 9 is paired up with the red which i was told is also flat and straightforward. Had a fun time but plenty of other courses in the area that are better.

For a winter, course was in great shape. Minimum amenities due to construction.

The course is inexpensive, it's decently maintained, and it's not a terrible walk. It's fun to play. Objectively speaking, compared to other options, the course is OK. I'd recommend it to someone, but probably not if they had to travel very far.

The four nines are somewhat challenging, but very fair with the layout and noticeable improvements that have been made the last three years or so. The trees removed have been a nice improvement which will even make the courses nicer into the future. The team of employees is fantastic from the Director of golf Bill/Matt; starters & Rangers Ed, Lou, Fletch, Fred, Joe, etc.; pro shop staff Tyler, Lynne (sp?), Carl, Allen, etc. are very friendly as well as efficient; snack/tiki bar & beverage cart staff Maggie, Allie (college), Heather [who recently may have moved on] etc. all very polite and grounds crew team, respectful and friendly. The only suggestion I have is additional rakes for the sand traps. Keep up the good work.
