Meadows Golf Club
About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

Great course and playable not tough
Great course but my god cut the fairways and tee boxes they were 2 inches tall but could be a great place if they cared for maintaining it at all..green were great grass was very healthy and green but CUT the fairways and tee boxes shouldnt have to look 2 minutes to find a ball in the middle of the fairway
Worst golf experience I’ve ever had
First time playing here and it will be my last. Played as a single, waited 40 minutes to tee off because they had no carts. Took me 2 hours and 45 minutes just to play 9 holes. Pace of play was unbearably slow. To cap it all off, the course was in horrible condition. Fairways weren’t fairways and the tee boxes were muddy, patchy messes. Will not ever play here again. Paid for 18 left after 9.
Surprised
Long review here. I played here years ago and told myself i’d never go back. After hearing they made improvements to the course i wanted to give it a shot. Upon arrival about 20 minutes before my 6:30 (first out) teetime, i politely asked the guy in the proshop if me and the other guy in the cart could start instead of waiting for the other 2 for that teetime. He was very grumpy in his answer and said something along the line of, “absolutely not your teetime is at 6:30 thats when you tee off.” Meanwhile i saw a foursome walking who were already on the 2nd hole when we got there. I simply asked who the other guys were because i thought my teetime was first out. Again he had some snarky comment about it acting like he was running Augusta National. As far as actual golf goes, the layout is pretty weird and sometimes difficult to tell where the flag is and holes are close and have weird doglegs. Grounds crew does a good job, everything was well kept (which is a big part of why I originally stopped coming). I will be back solely due to location and fair price for conditions
Behind group of 6
Group of 6 caused 4 other groups to be waiting on the tee box at a par 5. Claimed that the staff let them play as a group of 6. First time I’ve ever seen a sixsome on a course
Rough
I never wrote a review but I am today. Lots of things: tee boxes were beat up with a hard ground, a less experienced club as everyone was chasing balls across fairways , we actually watched a group play bumper carts & got kicked off the course, it’s located conventionally next to a sewage authority plant about half a mile away and the smell is brutal on the backend the of front 9, but the greens were well kept and the staff was friendly. Mixed feelings overall cuz I played well, but wouldn’t recommend
This course is good for beginners
It is a very flat course with pretty wide fairways, but there is water on a lot of holes. Very fun course to play with friends.
The course was very wet. There were puddles everywhere. The course should’ve been closed. Was very disappointed in the condition.
Grounds were terrible from the rain.
Conflicted because I understand that playing in rain is not the courses fault, but man there were some humongous puddles on the fairways. Also, there was no starter so it was a free for all. We started 30 minutes after our time.
However, the course layout is actually nice, and I will come back to try again once it’s dried up a little bit.
An OK morning at the Meadows
It’s been a couple of years since I last played the Meadows course. They have made some big improvements but the course doesn’t drain any better. The layout is better. The greens had been aerated about 2 weeks ago and are still rough. 7th hole is flooded so temporary tee. It will get better. Ok for a casual round.
