About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

Good course for the money!
Playing here once a week for 9 years now-the course is definitely improving with the new management. The staff is friendly and very helpful when needed. Average time for 18 is 4.5 hours. The price to play is very fair and reasonable.

Don’t
Very slow pace, most fairways barely have grass. Many fairways torn up. Layout is also very poor as you end up with balls flying at you head on and people crossing fairways.

Great Value
Can't beat the price.
Greens and tee boxes need to be cut but course is fun and easy to reach the green. Greens are moderately difficult.

Slow round
Course was in fair to poor condition. Tee boxes were mostly dirt, fairways were weedy and painted green. Greens were like concrete, very fast. Pace of play was very slow and they overbooked the course. The only good thing about the course was the pleasant cart girl.

It’s the Mradows
Played here for years it’s always had a key issues but with Groupons in the past and very fair pricing by the current owner it’s condition is commensurate with its pricing... every time I show up now something new or something different has been done. It’s still has a ways to go but I will still continue to play. You can see his commitment to improving this course... keep up the great work towards improvement and you golfers out there who can put up and much more importantly don’t complain all day if your in my foresome about ball marks or some bare spots then come on out..

bad value, do not recommend
condition of tee boxes, mostly dirt - condition of fairways, mostly weeds - condition of greens, see tee box comment
its the wild west at this course - watch out for electric carts coming onto your fairway, you'll just have to wait until they hit! If your on the tee at #3, watch out! Players teeing off of #18 are coming at you!

I don't normally write reviews but I have to go out of my way because golfers need to know. It's Friday and it's Labor day weekend. Nothing was available but this golf course. We had a 12 noon tee time and teed off at about 12:41. It was stupid over booked.We played 9 holes and had to stop because it was so slow. We finished 9 holes in 2 hrs and 57 mins. It was torcher. I play a lot of golf and this course is a cow pasture. I'm NOT KIDDING. It's the 1st golf course I've ever played that literally doesn't have fairways. NO fairways. It's all ruff. In fact, when you get to a tee box you have no idea where to place your drive. because It's all high grass. No distinction from the high grass or fairway. The greens are a mess. The course floods so there are ponds of water in the middle of some fairways. There is NO ranger to push along slow golfers. We were backed up 4 groups of 4 to tee off. The bunkers are concrete. This is NOT a golf course. It's a cow pasture with some flags to hit to. After 3 holes I noted with the other guys that there are NO fairways. I'm sorry for repeating this but it's bizarre. No wonder why this was the only course available because of a busy weekend. . The conditions are awful enough but It's not right that they over book just to make money. Do yourself a favor and read some other reviews about this golf course on Golfnow, Golf advisor, google and other platforms and you will understand what I"m trying to convey. Stay clear of this place.

Did the club just say it's 6 hour rounds, cart path only at Crystal Springs as well?
Labor Day means its busy! Cart path only means its a slower round so clearly you don't understand how a golf course operates. As for rough in the fairway i have no clue what you are saying because only a couple fairways have been aerated. As for rangers two rangers were out there all day so maybe you missed them. I have played 1,000 public golf courses especially the crystal springs group and when it's cart path only it's 6 hours. We finished punching the greens, fairways, and tees this week and yes the golf course is not it's best for about 10 days but clearly you just want to post something negative because you probably played poorly. As for the bunkers they are raked on a daily basis with a BRAND NEW MACHINE!!!!
Not my first choice
Course has seen better days. No one who plays this course fixes their ball marks on the green. Green has more ball marks than a teenager with an outbreak of acme. Sand traps were like concrete. The layout is nice and with some TLC this could be a great place to play, but not right now. Sorry to have to leave a review that is not glowing, but otherwise would not be fair to folks considering a round.
