Meadows Golf Club
About
Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park offers a casual and enjoyable round for players of all skill levels. For more of a challenge, golfers can try the blue tees while the white and the red tees are more forgiving of errant shots. The course sprawls across mostly flat terrain but there are a few subtly elevated greens to contend with. The layout is situated amidst native wetlands, which come into play on many of the holes. The back nine is more challenging than the front, with the toughest hole being the par-5 13th. At 455 yards, it's not a long hole but there are two large fairway bunkers and an elevated green that is surrounded by even more sand. The best view on the golf course can also be enjoyed from the middle of the green on this hole.

Swampy with minimum grass
Meadows is anything but. Some greens were in good shape but very little of the playing corridors were conditioned at all. The routing is dangerous, multiple fore calls will be heard throughout the round.
Cool layout
It’s a cool layout with some nice holes but it needs work. Fairways and tee boxes are in very rough shape. Greens are in good shape but they’re slow. Once they renovate the fairways and greens like they said they’re doing this course should be awesome.
Adequate course
Beat up tee boxes and rough fairways and greens. OK for a not too serious golfer but certainly not a well maintained course. Also nit one Port-a-John or drinkingwater on the entire course. Vending cart does roam the course.
Fine for the casual golfer like me and it has tee times available and allows 9 hole rounds and is reasonably priced, so it remains a good golf option for me and will play there regularly.
Fun course, a bit weathered
I had a fun day at Meadows because I was looking forward to just getting back out. It’s scenic and has a fair amount of features including pretty ponds and marsh. But the tee boxes and some of the greens could use some work. A reasonable value if you keep your expectations modest.
Love this course, but it’s Overpriced for the quality
I’ve been playing this course for years. Sadly in recent years it’s become overpriced for its quality. If you’re a county resident, for the same price you can go down the road to Preakness where the course condition it much better kept. I know with inflation and overall cost they had to adjust, I just hope next season the tee boxes and greens will be in the shape they were in previous years when they were priced way more competitively.
Fun Location but..
A solid course. Fun layout with room for error off the tees. With that comes a lot of errant shots being hit between the holes. Lots of balls coming toward/near you often without warning. Staff was nice, carts were ok and the atmosphere was nice. The course was not in very good shape. Tee boxes were often very hard dirt with no grass areas to tee up. Lots of muddy, no grass areas in fairway. Not much divot repairs and little to no ball marks repaired. The greens were in pretty rough shape with both ball marks and grassless spots that affect your roll. With all those criticisms I had a blast, played well, and scored decently. I would return. But wish for the course conditions it was a little cheaper.
Not worth it
Wow! I used to play this course years ago when it was in better condition and it was descent now there are so many dead spots greens are carpets just terrible place to play not worth the money course should be 30$ max
Extremely disappointed
No bang for the buck
The positive is nice staff and easy to get a time. Down side is mediocre fairway and the greens hadn't been cut. Like putting on your carpet. Compared to Preakness for about the same money, there is no comparison
Used to be decent
I’ve always defended Meadows being that the price used to be lower than other local courses. I also understand it rained a lot, however the course greens yesterday were unplayable. You could have hit a slap shot with your putter and the ball would barely move. The sand traps were all swimming pools. Again, I understand the weather and location, but lower the price for the day if you’re going to stay open with such poor conditions.
Needs lots of work.......
on multiple (chewed up) tee boxes, fairways, greens. Otherwise, an easy, playable course for intermediate players.
Course was a bit burned out
Overall, it is a decent course, but there were too many bare spots on tee boxes, fairways, and greens. In fact, sometimes you could see where they had put down sod, but let it dry out and die. On certain tee boxes, I had to invoke the 2 club distance rule from the tee markers to find a spot that was relatively flat and had sufficient amount of grass so I didn't have to worry about my trail foot slipping while I teed off. Additionally, I don't think they roll their greens or mow them down low enough. The areas of the greens that were not patchy were very slow. For a beginner or someone just looking to get out and focus on keeping the ball in play, this course if perfectly fine. But for anyone with a handicap of 15 or better, there are better options within a 30 minute drive.
