Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis

I played this course today and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. At first everything was fine but when it got to the front nine it was horrible. Sprinklers were on at every tee box and on every green, it became unplayable. The greens were soaking wet and pretty much flooding. Overall terrible experience and I wouldn’t not recommend this course.

First time at the course. Fairways were green and cut low. No burn marks. Off the Fairway, the rough was a little tall, but still acceptable. All pins were tucked in great positions and challenge the players. All bunkers were in great shape except a couple Fairway bunkers. Greens were Spinning, meaning that your ball would stop if you spun the ball to the green. The greens had no burn marks in it either. The pace of play was a little slow. Definitely will be going back several times this year.

Nice course but why let the rough get unmanageable. This is not a US OPEN . Pace of play is destroyed because players either can’t find their balls or just can’t get out. Also grass growing in bunkers???

Grass needs to be trimmed down better along the tree line.

Course was in good condition and value is good. Will be playing the course again

Pulled up, Starter guy made a nuisance on our tee time because we showed up on time, He pulled up 2 dirty carts (spider webs was fresh on them) previous dirt from last golfers not hosed down.

Didn’t want to grab our bags and put them on the carts I had a $10 bill in my hand and my friends also had some loose money we was willing to give the starter but after he did that I didn’t want to give him a dollar.

Making the turn at 10 Both starter guys are shouting at us because we took a Bathroom break for about 10 mins and says IN BEFORE 7:30PM OR ELSE!!

A simple, Come back before 7:30pm would’ve done it.

There was some sort of security trick driving around and parking in corners and driving through fair ways before we hit our balls im not sure what this meant.

The tee boxes are OK you got to find a balanced spot otherwise your feet will be in divots

The rough outside of the fair way was not taken care of

The fairways was not cut it had alot of top hairs

Same for the green, not cut down just left unkept

Rough, too deep to find the ball and I’m not so good that I can hit it out of the rough 6” deep sorry

Our group found these conditions not great

Fairways and rough long and not maintained

The greens are OK

But for a course like this these conditions were not a enjoyable day

Second time playing Atlantis. Great layout, some very challenging holes. Played from the white tees, pretty long for the average golfer. The rough here is very thick, if you arent in the fairway it is difficult to hit the green in regulation. Course in good shape, good pace of play.

The course is in excellent condition. Fairways totally green grass. The greens are perfect. New sand in the bunkers, no complaints. Rough is US Open high. You will be penalized for missing a fairway. This was once a country club with a hotel. Not anymore it's a county course and the restaurant on site is staffed and run by the county vo- tech students and they do a great job. Bring bug spray with you. The greens heads will carry you away.

A nice day, so a packed course. The blind tee shots slowing down play to 5hr plus. The bugs mostly on back nine. I played before and had a decent 4hr round so timing is everything.
