About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

For the cost you would expect better conditions
I love the layout of the course, but the conditions were really bad. There was not a green in even good condition. Most greens were damaged. There needs to be some investment in the course conditions
May's Landing
This little 9 hole course was nice to play, had a few challenging holes and tough locations but still fun to play. Will play again in the future when I come back to New Jersey.
Mays landing
If your looking to hit the ball around and drink with your friends great course. Greens and fairways were terrible
Decent Track, Bad Shape
Decent layout but the course is in bad shape. Greens in particular are beat up and have been damaged by disease. Fairways not much better. Surprisingly several of the tee boxes were actually in very good shape. Pro shop is lacking and they’ve closed down the pub. Shame they’re letting this course go to heck.
Needs Improvement
I’ve played this course for decades but unfortunately the greens are in poor conditions and the tee boxes & fairways not much better. I like the layout and scenery. Hope they can turn this around and get back to a nice course.
Drought Conditions
We’ve played this course before the conditions were good. It is understandable some greens and tees were burnt out. I look forward to playing in the spring once the course has a chance to recover from the drought condition. I like the layout when the weather cooperates. I was happy they were open we played with an open mind and we enjoyed our round
Overpriced
Played this course many times and used to be good. Over last 3 years it’s really fallen off. It’s almost like they gave up taking care of it. $60 for a course with no upkeep of the greens is way too much. Would’ve been a good value at $25.
Unfortunate
The most important things to me about a golf course/conditions in order are Greens, Fairways, traps, tees, rough, staff, overall appearance and food. I’m very understanding of how difficult it must be to operate a golf course and get all these things right year after year; and as a mid/high handicap golfer on a budget, I don’t need perfection. However this course misses on all these items except for staff friendliness. Hoping that for the residents at least, this course can recover. Needs a lot of work starting with course conditions. Probably needs a lot of trees removed to restore lots of bare patches and greens.
