Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Just didn’t learn first time
Hate to say but was not going to play here again but tried and was sorry. Course in real bad shape, greens have hardly any grass on them. Pace was good cause nobody playing . Shame course will close soon if they don’t get it back in shape.
Terrible shape
This course should not even be taking tee times, we were told it’s in bankruptcy, fairways were so high we lost balls in grass, high grass everywhere brownout conditions, drove hr and 15 mins for this crap! Stay away until someone buys and restores it to at least decent conditions!!
No Grass on Greens
The fairways had patchy grass. The Greens were the worst I have ever seen. Most greens did not have grass on them and the ones that did were spotty at best. There is more grass in the bunker than the greens. Do not waste your money playing here.
Worst conditions I have ever played
The fairways have 0 grass, just weeds and dirt. The greens have massive dirt patches, you can’t even roll a putt without it hitting patches and ruining your line. And it was 70 bucks! I wouldn’t play here if it costed 30 bucks, because it was that bad.
Worst course ever
I would rather play in a cow pasture. Horrible greens, fairways with more weeds than grass, no ball washers, and no drinking water for players.
The rate was good but they shoul have paid me to play there.
What happened to this course?
For the past few years the Mays Landing golf course has been getting worse, but this was the worst I have ever seen it. The practice putting green should have been our first clue to turn and leave, and we almost quit after the second hole and asked for our money back. The pro shop is empty if inventory, the greens, tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers are all in horrible shape. The course looks like it’s been abandoned by the grounds keeping staff and is in no way worth the price they charge for a round of golf and they should be ashamed of themselves for how expensive it is. I’ve played at courses for half the price that were in much better condition. I will not be going back any time soon and actually wouldn’t be shocked if I heard that it closed next season. Spend your money somewhere else, this course isn’t worth it.
Left after 10 holes
Apparently the course is bank owned and in complete shambles!!! All fairways and holes are in disrepair, clubhouse closed, no AC on in clubhouse… don’t even know how they can charge for the course at all!!!
Pathetic
I would call this course a goat farm - except even goats wouldn't go here. Without question, the worst-conditioned course I have ever played (and I play close to 100 rds/yr). Fungus on the greens, poor turf on the fairways, horrible sand traps... and worst of all, they still have the nerve to charge $69!!! DO NOT GO HERE. If you can't get a tee time anywhere else, then go bowling. Do anything - but don't go here.
Not worth it
The best part of this round was interacting with the course staff (which was only 3 people) and the fact that there was only 1 other golfer on the course. The course was in terrible shape with the back 9 being a little better than the front 9. Definitely not worth it, hopefully the owner makes some much needed changes
Burned out
Haven’t been there in 30 years it’s a shame could be a great course just completely burned out greens and fairways
Horrible
This is probably one of the worst courses I have ever played in the entire South Jersey area. Certainly not worth the money and the course is in the worst shape I have ever seen. There is no fairways, the roughs are truly rough, and the greens are atrocious. Until this course is improved upon I will not be returning again. Save your money play somewhere else.
