About
Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Worst golfing experience
So the group in front were playing really slow!
Then the ranger for some reason was up our rear end for 15 straight holes he chaperoned our round giving minute to minute updates that nobody was askn for!
Then on hole 15 a ball was sliced onto the 16th fairway
The Ranger went over & picked up the ball & kept it!
Then denied it when confronted!!!
This was the worst experience ever at a golf course
Worst $144.00 ever spent that course is not worth 90$
We will take our business elsewhere!
Great Course , very challenging
Great course, friendly staff, and very challenging. Tee time was delayed because of the group in front of us was moving slower. We had 10am tee time didnt actually tee off until 1015-1020, which made us feel like we need to rush as the group behind us was moving fast. Eventually we let the group behind us pass us up on a par 3. My buddies and i enjoyed it, even though the course was downpoured on the night before and was extremely wet. Stop at the beer house after for a tasty burger!
Fantastic place
Drove an hour from NYC to play here. Was worth the travel. Loved this course. Layout. Staff. All top notch. Will be back for sure!
Bad Timing
Unfortunately, I played the course after three days of rain... It was pretty wet fairways, cart path only and the tee boxes were beat up with lots of divots. Course was challenging and there were a couple gimmicky type holes, but overall the course layout was good.
