Bowling Green Golf Club
About
Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Great short course
This is not a PGA tour track but perfect challenge for non-touring pros. Fairways are open but can be narrow with the many strategically placed old growth trees. Greens are is great shape and run true. Course is somewhat short, but that does not mean easy. Being every club because you will need them all. Wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back.
Great Course
First time playing, read great reviews. The 4th hole is a doozy. Can't wait to go back. Only down fall, the senior 4 some behind us kept coming in hot. Other than that, all 5 stars.
Old school golf
Tight fairways lined with pine trees on most holes. Always in really nice shape. If this course was a little closer I’d play it more often. Price is a bit high IMO. I wish they would offer some better prices on weekdays. Paying 80 for a round on a Wednesday is a bit much. I’ll come back again and will play this course twice a year.
Always Good
Bowling Green is always good! Good layout and good shape.
Enjoyable round on course in great condition
This course is in great condition and is one of the best public courses I’ve played in New Jersey. Will definitely come again. It’s a challenging course with narrow drives (particularly the front 9) and long par 3s. That said it’s got six tee boxes to choose from so good for all skill levels. Local knowledge is helpful on the course - the starter was great at pointing out some tips for the tougher holes. The website with hole flyovers is worth checking out.
Dope course!
I've been golf a while and this course has quality. The fairways, greens and layout were great. Good mix of challenging and moderate holes.
Fun day
Course was in OK shape but greens were a bit slow. No rangers and needed as pace slowed considerably on back 9. Also greeting staff was not present for about 10 minutes after arrival but once there was great.
Great Course
This course is a fun track to play but it does not come at a cheap price. Would recommend.
Great Course, Great Staff, Great Pace
This Is a beautiful and very well maintained course. One of the best within 1 hr of nyc. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Played as a single in 3 and half hours on Saturday afternoon - multiple groups let me play ahead. Overall great experience. Will definitely be back soon.
Great Round
Just finished playing a round today. Started the round at 2:28, finished around 6:15. Great course, tight fairways, plenty of doglegs to the left, and oh my goodness, those par 3s!!!
Fairways were in excellent shape, greens were fast, but true.
Definitely recommend!! Unfortunately we did not partake in a post-round meal, but it smelled good as we passed it.
Nice Day for golf
Never had to wait they spaced us out so the round couldn't get any better. Played with my son for Father's Day!
