Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Nice Day for golf
Never had to wait they spaced us out so the round couldn't get any better. Played with my son for Father's Day!
Nice course was in good condition but weren’t offering carts to everyone which was strange and still charged a decent amount for walking.

The ambience is awesome .. those pine trees
Greens were little slow understandably but man what a course this is! Fair and challenging. Those pine trees reminded me of Augusta a lot since masters was postponed this year . Awesome course to play and of course need to be little straight on this course!!
The Way Golf Should Be
Played a round (first time this course) on a Sat afternoon in June...usually a prime time for crowded conditions and slower play but we experienced neither. Course is very well kept and was in great shape despite heavy rains the night before. Even under pandemic restrictions, with the range open and the halfway house laying down some righteous dogs you could almost a normal world existed for 4 hours. Staff were very helpful and seemed genuinely glad to be there accommodating golfers. If this is what slightly off the beaten path gets you, then I’m a believer in the effort: driving a short piece afforded us enjoying the game in peace and without the annoyances that so often accompany higher trafficked venues.

Well maintained, great value.
Grabbed an end of the week tee time with three co workers. Staff was great especially with some of the recent complications. Played through a wet day and course was still in really good shape. Would absolutely play here again.

Been a year or two since playing there and course was in great shape just like last time I played there. Definitely will be back there more often!
Slow greens
Course is in good condition. Greens were recently aerated, very slow and bumpy..staff, especially the starter very unfriendly almost rude. Wish they pave the cart paths.
