About
Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Great Staff & Atmosphere
Second time playing this course and it did not disappoint. I honestly have nothing but great things to say. It’s been raining a lot lately and all the bunkers were maintained, as well as the greens. Of course some low areas were plugging balls, but for the most part awesome course. The staff was great and understanding about the early morning conditions. Very polite and respectful. 100% recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a good, enjoyable round of golf. Hit em straight!

Pretty course nice layout
I play over a 100 rounds of golf a year and Bowling Green is my favorite course in NJ. Beautiful course, nice layout, fair but challenging! The staff is friendly and always plays in 4 1/2 hrs or less!
Greens were in great shape as well as the fairways. The rough is a little dry in areas which can understandable this time of year. Overall course is in great shape
Nice Track
It's not a particularly hard course. The trees come into play on many holes so need to keep it in the fairway. The rough was inconsistent, sometimes easy to hit to green, other times buried and dense twisting club through impact. It's in nice condition yet you see areas where recent warm weather has created some burnt out patches. I think my biggest disappointment were the greens. they are in great shape, but slow. Long putts uphill were difficult. I'd like to see them increase the speed of the greens. For $87 I wouldn't call a value course, but certainly reasonable.
Nice course, unfortunately it rained for the first four holes. This course will not close unless there’s a hurricane only to get a refund. Without the hot deal I’ll pass.

A very quiet setting with beautiful conditions. 4th hole is silly, other wise a good layout. It's a little pricey too.
Great little course
Great executive course in amazing condition. Would have been 5 star but I find it a little overpriced. But you do get what you paid for in conditions. Nice to have rangers keeping people moving. Nice new bar area. I enjoyed the remoteness of it. I will go back soon.
Hidden fee
There is addtional fee charged with small hidden letters written beside the golfnow reservation.
After 2:00 P.M. they charged additional $10.00 for riding cart oer oerson.

Have played here several times. Great staff and course was in great shape considering all the rain the last few days

What a great track and with a private club feel. Everything about it was spectacular.
Very Enjoyable Round
I saw a Hot Deal on Golfnow and i decided to jump on it. That last time I played this course was back in 2001. Very pleased with the course overall. Nice challenge and the course was in very good condition considering the winter we've had. The staff was EXCELLENT.
