Bowling Green Golf Club
About
Bowling Green Golf Club is in the heart of northern New Jersey, surrounded by miles of idyllic countryside. An abundance of mature oaks and towering red pines characterizes the scenic course. This quick, shady layout is a great round for walkers. The golf course has a classic links design that is easily played in less than four hours. Like most traditional links courses, the gently undulating terrain has the perfect pitch and roll. It also provides each hole with unique challenges that require accuracy and strategy. Trees heavily line the fairways, presenting some of the course's most formidable challenges. Bowling Green Golf Club's front nine is slightly more forgiving than the back nine, which incorporates the natural ponds and wetlands on a few holes. There are also some tricky doglegs to contend with.

Excellent Course
Enjoyed playing this course. Tough but fair. Loved the challenge of the long par 3s. Staff was friendly. Rangers were out and about doing their jobs. Will definitely play here again.
Pace of Play
Our twosome played the round in just a little more than 3 hours on a warm weekday afternoon. The pace of play is one of the best things about this course -- but don't tell anyone. Whoops.
Well maintained/ great condition
The course was in great condition. Fair ways and greens were well manicured. The only thing lacking were distance markings on the course. The food at the course was great as well. The burgers we had were terrific and the staff was top notch. I'll be back again.

Classic Course
This is a beautiful tree lined course. It feels much more friendly and private than the corporate "crystal springs" courses right up the road. Every hole is a challenge, but it's fair. Must keep the ball straight. Plenty of tee boxes for every level of golfer. Rangers are friendly and helpful. Bar was cozy and good. $3 yuenglings!
This is a fun course to play. I would play it more often if it where closer. It is a 60 min. Ride. Also they give a a nice senior citizen discount ( 60 and over)
Beautiful and Great pace of play
In spite of the fact that a few non-par 3's are also cart path only, we played a foursome round in 4 hours flat. It is a challenging course with majestic tree-lines fairways. The greens roll smooth and true with some tricky breaks. Loved playing here and would come again for certain!
Round 2
Nice layout, in good shape. For first timers research the course before you play. Hole don't always go the direction you think they would. Pretty narrow but enjoyable. After round food is good.
Great course
We plays in the afternoon. But it was raining the whole day but we drove an 1.5 hrs to play it so we played anyway. Despite the horrendous weather and swamp like conditions the course was amazing and looked in great shape. The layout was fun and interesting. It was a great time and we can't wait to go back
Nice course for the money !
Considering the discounted rate that GolfNow has charged, it is worth playing this course. Their regular rate is too high for this type, as compared to the other courses nearby.
Great Course
Course was in unbelievable shape for mid-April in NJ. Greens were rolling well and the tee times were spread out nicely. Ranger was around and actually kept the pace of play moving. We fell behind by 10 minutes and he was extremely polite and asked us to pick up the pace. We did on the next hole and he came by again and thanked us. Staff was wonderful!
Course condition has nice to me
It's wonderful rounding with my wife to enjoy great course with staff kindness and playing intervals in no hurry. I'll try to play this course again next time soon.
Nice course; crumby condition
Have played this course a few times and it's always enjoyable. My last round on 11/11 was okay, however, I don't think the course conditions were worth the $65 price tag. Didn't seem like they tried at all to remove leaves from the greens or fairways.
Great Conditioning
Course is in great shape, tees, fairways and greens.
It's a little tighter than it looks. Consider shorter club off tee to keep it in the fairway. Just a little pricey.
