Slow play in the morning should be outlawed
Beautiful day and the 4 SLOWEST PLAYERS possible were in front of us. My frustration led me to quit by the 16th. Could not get into any pace of play. I really liked the course but not with the speed of a turtle once they got to the green. It has me wondering if I should go back. MORE MARSHALS NEEDED. Stop Slow morning play.
South Jersey Gem
This is one of the best public courses is South Jersey. The greens are always perfect and the fairways are pure. The course is a little short and can get backed up on weekends but that expected for NJ golf. The course itself is a gem!
Slow pace
The only reason I played this course is because I can decide at the last minute and be at the course in 10 minutes. Pace of play is always an issue at this course that’s only 6200 yards. Course is always in good condition with exception of few red boxes that been under repair. There is never a ranger on this course. Staff is very friendly from pro shop to the starter with the exception that the starter always wants me to check in with the pro shop, it make no sense for me to pay it online and then have to check in at two points to accomplish same thing. They should make it easier for the customers not make it harder. Again, I’m not saying they are rude or anything I’m sure they are following rules. I always play as a single Yesterday I got paired with a very nice twosome. Group in front of us showed up six minutes late and held us throughout the entire round. When I asked them if they can speed up one of the idiots said they don’t mind playing slow and no we couldn’t play through. No golf etiquette at all. Yesterday temps were in the high 90s. There was no water on the golf course.
SLOW PLAY
This course is good for the money and usually in good shape. Carts having GPS is a nice amenity. My only problem is SLOW play!!! I usually only play it on weekday afternoons and it’s always over 4.5 hour round. On a Saturday afternoon that’s fine but on weekdays when I’m just trying to get a quick 18 in it’s frustrating. They definitely need a ranger out there enforcing the pace of play, that’s literally on your screen letting you know exactly how far behind you are.
Great Value
One of the best public courses for the money near Philly. Course was in great shape, pace of play was not ideal. Someone had lost a phone a few groups ahead of us and backed everyone up looking for it, could’ve benefited from a ranger keeping things going. Other than that, I had a great time and will absolutely be back again very soon!
New carts
I play here often. It is the closest course to my home. I do not like the new carts. They have a map on them with yellow lines where if you drive into that section the cart stops. You have to back up and go around. I understand they don't want people driving in certain areas, but if you get halfway down the fairway the "green" map pops up and you can no longer see where the restricted areas are anymore. Bad system.
Fantastic Conditions
I was really impressed with the conditions of the fairways and greens. Seemed like a private course for sure. The layout is fun but definitely a small ballpark with some narrow fairways. Pace of play was no issue on a Sunday afternoon.
I was impressed
The course is short, but challenging. You need to miss on the correct side of the green to not make big scores. The condition of the course was amazing. I definitely will play this course again
Rainy day at Pennsauken
We played in the rain on a hot deal. The course was in excellent condition, certainly the best of the public courses around here. I can’t wait to go back on a nice day. The greens were challenging but fair and a good speed on a rainy day.
